As I mentioned about a week ago, I want to share more card analyses on Splinterlands. These will be completely random—I’m not focusing on any specific set—I’m just looking for the most versatile and useful cards I’m noticing in the game and explaining why it’s definitely worth having them in your deck. I’d like to do this more often, but I also want to share a variety of content so you get a little bit of everything, although my goal has always been to help players who are less familiar with the game.
With that in mind, today it’s time to talk about a card that I really like—one that’s very versatile and has a little bit of everything— so today I want to show you how the card called “Nalara Geinek” works—a very interesting card that might be flying under the radar with these new sets, “Arcana Conclave” and “Escalation,” since this card is from the “Rebellion” set, which is the next set to transition to the “Wild” format, but even so, these cards are still very strong and were among the ones that introduced one of the mechanics that is currently one of the most broken in the entire game.
So, if you want to learn more about this “Nalara Geinek” card, stick around until the end of this post—I’m sure it’ll be a lot of fun, and you’ll have one more card you’ll want to add to your collection to get the most out of it.

Well, let's start with the simplest part, which is highlighting her stats—something that might not surprise many of you, but it’s a very good card, and you’ll see why—since I’m covering absolutely everything you need to know about it here. Of course, I might skip over a few minor details, but the truth is that they aren’t necessary, since the information on its stats and abilities, plus a few other details about the favorable and unfavorable rules under which this card can be played, is more than enough.

Rarity and Splinter: This card has a “Legendary” rarity, so it’s not just any card; it also belongs to one of the most powerful Splinters, the “Neutral.” And for those wondering why it’s one of the most powerful, it’s because it can naturally and inherently be combined with any card in the game.
Mana Cost: This card has a mana cost of 9. So even though that’s a bit high, the truth is that given the number of battles where a large amount of mana is available, it’s quite useful. So, in my opinion, it’s fine—it’s a bit high, but not so high that the card is absolutely necessary to use in battles with very high mana costs.
Attack and Speed: This is where most people will be surprised because they’re used to me sharing cards with unlimited attack, but that’s not the case—not every amazing card has to have a beastly attack. In fact, a card’s value isn’t measured by its attack but by how useful it is on the field. But, putting that aside, this card has +1 magic attack and 3 speed, which aren’t bad at all.
Health and Shield: This is where most of its value lies, since it’s more of a “Defensive and Support” card. However, we can clearly see that it has +10 health points and 5 shield points, which are great for defending and protecting our team while we deal damage and help the offense finish the job and gain a slight advantage.

This is where it always gets interesting, because we'll explore the abilities this card has, and you'll also discover why I say it provides support and/or assistance to our entire team:

Amplify: The first thing we notice is that it has the ability to amplify, and what it amplifies is the damage from abilities that reflect back a portion of the damage inflicted on us by the opponent’s own cards. So, if we take damage from abilities such as (Retaliate, Corrosive Ward, Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns), they usually reflect back a small portion, but this damage increases by +1 point for each of these abilities. So, if we play cards with these abilities, we can deal more damage than before. This is a clear indication of what kind of cards we should play and what strategy to use.
Silence: With this ability, we have a much better understanding of the types of scenarios in which to use this card. For example, the “Silence” effect reduces the opponent’s magic attacks by -1 point, so if we want this effect to take effect, the ideal battlefield for our card is one where “Magic” attacks predominate.
Void: In addition to using it in situations where “Magic” attacks are predominant, this card becomes practically very difficult to eliminate thanks to this ability, which reduces the damage of “Magic” attacks by -1 point. That means that, in a hypothetical scenario where we can only use cards with this type of attack, it naturally takes the front line as a “Tank” or is at least one of the best options in that regard.
Stun: A very important ability if we want to help our main damage-dealing team eliminate the opponent’s monsters, since this ability gives a 50% chance that the opponent’s cards will be stunned and skip their next turn, giving our cards the opportunity to eliminate these offensive obstacles.
Favorable and Unfavorable Rules
Counterspell: This is one of those rules where we absolutely have to play it, since all cards on the field gain “Magic Reflect.”
Rever Speed: I don’t really recommend this one, but since it’s not a very fast card, it might work—especially since its attack will almost always hit the target.
Equal Opportunity: Of course, taking advantage of this card’s life points so that the rest of our team also gains this resistance is always incredible.
Lost Magic: Naturally, the magic power is eliminated, and we won’t be able to use the card.
Aim True: When all cards hit their target and can’t miss, it could be a problem, since we’ll all take damage and absolutely must play a card that restores health and shield.
Backlash: Things can get complicated here because, if the opponent has a card with Phase and Nalara misses, we’ll automatically take 2 damage—which would mean a total failure of the strategy.

I hope you really like this card. To me, it’s a great map control card focused on a defensive strategy that includes support. Of course, it’s not foolproof, but I like what it can do and achieve if we play it in the right situations. So now that you have this card and you like it, leave a comment on this post and let’s talk.
