Splinterlands Update: Sps, Survival Mode & Next Conflict Card

The crypto market is tough right now, and many projects have felt the impact. Some even shut down because they couldn’t keep up. Yet, amidst all this, Splinterlands is still standing strong. Over 160,000 packs have been sold despite the general downturn in crypto prices.

With less than 7 days left until the end of the presale, I expect even more packs to be sold. We might also see some movement on the leaderboard, which could potentially trigger an SPS pump, assuming competitors haven’t already accumulated their SPS.

My concern is what happens to SPS afterward. I just hope it doesn’t crash like many other cryptocurrencies. So far, it has been holding up well, and I believe the presale may be one of the reasons behind that stability.

Once the presale ends, it is hard to predict what comes next. We have seen how badly Hive has dropped, and there is still uncertainty around SPS. However, I believe Splinterlands will weather this bear market, just as it has continued to stand strong since 2018.

I won’t focus too much on the price for now. This is the time to accumulate SPS, and I plan to gather as much as possible while positioning myself for the next bull run, likely to follow the next Bitcoin halving in 2028.

The last bull run caught many people off guard. We were expecting a major breakout like in previous cycles, but it came and went faster than anticipated. It seemed to lose momentum around the time the Trump-themed coin launched, drawing liquidity and attention away from many altcoins.

The recent update on Splinterlands brings back the Survival Mode format. A bracket system has also been introduced, allowing each account to compete in only one selected bracket throughout the season. I believe this is a solid move to reduce excessive farming and create a more balanced competitive environment.

Additionally, a liquidity bot has been implemented to step in when no real players are available in an active bracket.

I chose to compete in the Expert Modern bracket, which restricts botting, because I prefer not to be matched against bots. However, I have noticed that I am being paired with the liquidity bot more often than with real players. This could suggest that player participation in this bracket is relatively low, or perhaps our play times don’t align.

Another change I have noticed is that SPS is no longer rewarded immediately after each battle. Instead, players now earn reward shares, which will determine the total amount of SPS distributed at the end of the season.

At this point, it is difficult to estimate how much the emp-warden account will earn, since the final payout depends on overall performance and accumulated shares. I have already started playing and currently sit at a 500 rating. I will continue battling until most of my cards are on cooldown, and hopefully, the season ends with a decent reward.

Hanv - Next Conflict Archon

The Seventh Conclave Arcana Conflict is set to be airdropped in less than 14 days, and I am already in love with the stats!

Its Bloodline Dominions are Undead and Goblin, and they gain the Deflect ability.

One unit can even gain Swiftness and Double Strike from this card, which instantly makes it one of my favorite Archons in the conflict, especially since I am a big fan of the Double Strike ability.

I tested the summoner on the testnet site, and I was only able to play in the Bronze League. Even there, I can say this summoner is going to dominate—and I believe it could perform even better in higher leagues.

All I can say is, imagine monsters that are already overpowered gaining Double Strike. Think of the likes of Venka or Mantaroth… It is going to be absolutely wild!
