Hello Splinter nerds

I made a post yesterday about Sps being the best token you can use to purchase the mini set, which presale is said to happen next month. You can read the post here in case you missed the post.
Sps is on the move now, people are buying in preparation for the presale, and it pumped to 0.0081 today! I see it hitting 0.01 easily, and from there, it is going fly.
If you plan to buy some sps, this is the time. The pump you see is small compared to what is still coming. You can buy it to book a profit later when it pumps more and not necessarily to partake in the presale.
This gave me a flashback to the beginning of my journey on Splinterlands. I have said this story countless times, so I won't repeat it today, but my audience already knows how I didn't understand the game at first and ended up selling my cards twice before I eventually got the hang of the gameplay, and from there started as a scholar for some accounts, which further improved my gameplay.

Below, I will be listing some moments that made me a better player
Days without energy barrier: New players do not know that there was a time we played without energy. Nothing can stop you from playing, you can play all day, and back then, most players settled for the last two days of the season to rank up the leaderboard because of the juicy dec awarded to the top players.
I didn't pursue the leaderboard until I started playing Shoemanchu, it was a max account with all the cards I needed which fuel my passion to compete for the rewards on the leaderboard, it was not as easy feat to achieve with the likes of Jacekw, smk and Bji, hossainbd and others dominating but the more I play and suffer defeat from this top players the better I become, untillllllllllllllllllllllll One day I took the second position on the leaderboard, I won't say it is by luck, I played and played and it worked in my favour, what further helped me during those moment was the rating
Back then, when you defeat a player with higher ratings than you, you can get a boost of 74 points for that win which can send you higher on the leaderboard while the loser will lose 32 points, and if you keep beating small account, you will only get 3 points but if they defeat you, you are losing 32 points, it was a system design to favour those with lower rating over those with higher rating.
The Tournament: Back then, the tournament was not anytime; it had a fixed time, and we first needed to check in 15 minutes before the time, or else we won't be able to partake. When a player got defeated in a round, the winners moved to the next round until there are only 2 players left, and they will also compete for the first position...
I remember staying awake all night only to fall asleep 30 minutes away from the big tournament. I was so mad at myself the next day lol, it is funny now, but I was so hurt back then, so I made plans of sleeping and set alarms an hour before the tournaments. This is for those tournaments that happen at midnight.
Byzantinist was dominating the tournament with his accounts, and I remember losing some good spots to him. Still, I learn from those defeats and started to use them in battles too. I became better with time, and here I am still playing, and I can say I am far better than those days.
