Hello Splinterlands
In the Frontier gameplay, my favorite splinter among the five splinters, since there are no Dragon summoners yet, is the Earth splinter.

Come to think of it, the Earth splinter has always been my favorite right from the Beta editions because of its legendary summoners. The likes of Prince Rennyn dominated the game with his stats.
Then came Llama in the Untamed edition, and we also had monsters like Kron the Undying with his Last Stand ability, which made gameplay more interesting and sometimes felt like a cheat code, using just Kron to wipe a team of four almost single-handedly.
When it comes to the Frontier mode, my go-to team in gameplay is the Earth and Water splinters, but my favorite is the Earth because of the monsters’ abilities.
The Earth splinter is blessed with cards that have amazing abilities, and I used some of them in the battle I am about to share below

We were given just one rule:
Standard: This rule indicates that there is no change to the normal gameplay rules or mechanics.
And the maximum mana cap for this battle was 36.
Only two splinters were available: Earth and Dragon. Since Frontier mode doesn’t have Dragon summoners yet, the only option for this battle was the Earth team.
The only difference between the two teams is the monsters used; see my team below and the reasons I placed each monster in those positions.

Dread Tafarian - This monster is a tank and one of the best tanks in the Frontier league because it can self-heal, which gives it an edge over other tanks. It had a total of 7 health in this battle as it got +1 health from the summoner's stats.
My opponent used a Taunt monster as his tank. I am not sure what he was thinking using that as a frontline tank, because he would have had a better chance if he had placed the Taunt monster at the rear position and used a stronger tank in the first position.
It was my second monster. It is a melee attack monster with the Reach ability, which allows it to attack from the second position while my tank is in front. It also has a decent health base, which gives me hope in case the opponent defeats my tank.
This monster was placed in the third position. It is a magic attack monster with a decent health base as well. It can also attack from the front position, just in case my first two monsters are defeated by the opponent.

Last but not least was Kicking Roc, a ranged attacker with heavy power. It had the highest attack power in my team, which made it very useful in defeating my opponent.
I placed it in the last position because ranged monsters can’t attack from the front position, so keeping it at the back helps it survive longer and keep dealing damage throughout the battle.
The opponent was only able to defeat one monster on my team, and that was Dread Tafarian. It could have easily been a flawless victory, but the tank did its job by absorbing most of the damage and giving the rest of my team enough time to finish the battle.
