Avatars and Exemplars: A New Era for Splinterlands

Hello Splinter nerds

Splinterlands keeps coming up with new things that make the game more fun for the players, and the latest update was the avatars and exemplars.

The avatar is the reflection of who the player is; this is my belief, so I created the avatar of Emp-warden in my image.

I love this image that I created; the Christmas hat makes it better.

I am going to explain how I arrived at this particular avatar, which gives my reflection.

Here is the default avatar from which I made my avatar.

This was the default feature, but it looks nothing like me, so I decided to play around with the tools given.

I chose the youth option for the face, while for the hair, I selected the discipline` but somehow it keeps changing toponytail``, i have a V shape natural hairstyle so the ponytail v shape kinda fit in but that curly one stroke at the front and the long hair at the back doesn't define me, but still okay!

I chose the angry brows, calculating eyes, broken nose and stern mouth which makes the image fierce!.

For the extras, I use the Lighest Freckles which brings out my dark color, then the hero's mark scar to scare my opponent in battle lol, I have no tattoo in real life and not sure I am ever going to get one because of how they say it contaminate the blood, I can live that through my avatar so I added the feral vision tattoo

I have seen other players' avatars, and they are amazing. Everyone is being creative, and this could be more fun for some people than playing the game.

I am not yet done with my avatar, and there will be more changes to it in the future.

The Exemplars

I find this intriguing, creating my own card and giving it abilities of my choice. I am still testing the waters, and I created a card for fun

Yea yea, I know 26 mana is much, but then the card is so cool, and I made sure to use the abilities that give me a headache in battle.

True Strike: Is one ability I will always add because I hate it when my monsters miss their attack.

Blast: Yodin Zaku made me love this ability, and it has been my favorite since then till now.

Oppress: The likes of Grimbardun Smith give me a tough time in the arena, and the easiest way to defeat those monsters with shield and void is the oppress ability.

Ambush: This ability gives an upper edge in the battle by letting the monster attack before the first round.

Expose: This ability helps to remove buffs that could be a problem for the team, making their strike and hit more fatal for the opponent.

Unfortunately, I will be owing 79 points to create this card, so I might just create something similar that won't consume more points later.

I also look forward to the exemplar tournament. Love the gate fee that stop players from entering the tournament that they don't fit in, I entered the champ exemplar tourney and hope to win a good prize at the end of it.
