In Splinterlands, Archon monsters play an extremely important role because they provide the leadership that can completely change the outcome of a battle. If you do not have strong Archons your chances of winning also decrease because a great Archon not only gives extra power to your team but also strengthens your entire strategy.

Today I will talk about an amazing Archon monster called “Risqruel Drath” which belongs to the Fire elements. It is also known as the “Awakened Beast”. Because of its aggressive abilities, powers and strong battle presence,this monster card is also known as Awakened Beast.

In terms of visual appearance it looks like a warrior rat monster wearing a battle helmet. In one hand it holds a sword made of fire while the other hand contains flame like energy that appears ready to strike the enemy at any moment. Its design truly feels impressive and terrifying.

This is a 7 mana cost Archon that can be used in almost every battle but it proves most effective in medium to high mana battles that covers the portion of the mana cost and further you will have more options to select other best monsters.

Many new players do not understand the difference between Archons and regular battle monsters so it is important to know that a monster which does not have direct attack powers but instead provides special abilities to the entire team is called an Archon.

In regular monsters you usually see melee attack, ranged attack, magic, speed, health and armor but the real strength of an Archon lies in its leadership abilities.

If we talk about its maximum level which is Level 4 it comes with two important abilities. The first is Ranged Attack which increases the power of all your ranged attack monsters by one point.

If a unit has 3 ranged attack it becomes 4 after this ability is being applied. The second important ability is Flying which grants all your friendly units the Flying ability meaning they gain an extra chance to avoid physical attacks.

This Archon also has four optional abilities True Strike, Impede, Redemption and Taunt. Among these True Strike and Impede are considered the most useful.

The special feature of True Strike is that your selected units never miss their attacks, no matter how many evasion abilities the enemy has. Meanwhile Impede reduces the enemy’s speed after every successful attack giving your team an even greater advantage.

As for the price the Level 4 card is available for around $37 while the Level 1 card can be found for approximately $6 to $8. Because of its powerful leadership and game changing abilities it is considered one of the best Archons and having such an Archon in your deck is truly essential.

The card is no doubt little expensive but if you can afford do buy it and add in your deck. For new players you can rent this card which you have to pay #DEC on daily basis. Rentals are much reasonable.
