Recently I added a card to my collection: Thanalorian Archer, a Rare Life Unit from the Splinterlands ecosystem. This purchase was an addition because Thanalorian Archer gives useful statistics, strong abilities and has big growth as it levels up. From the screenshots Thanalorian Archer has 4,221 copies in circulation. I bought one for 134.70 DEC. In this article I will share my thoughts about Thanalorian Archer, its statistics, level progression, abilities. Why I think Thanalorian Archer can be a good asset for a Splinterlands player.
Introducing Thanalorian Archer
Thanalorian Archer is a Rare Life Unit. Is an Elf. Thanalorian Archer costs 5 mana so it is an unit for battles where mana is important. Thanalorian Archer is not very cheap and not very expensive so players can use it in medium and high mana plans.

At its level Thanalorian Archer shows several useful statistics. Thanalorian Archer can deal damage from the backline and its armor and health protect it from enemy attacks.
The artwork of Thanalorian Archer gives the card a look. The character is an elf archer in purple and white clothes holding a bow. The design fits well with the Life element and the fantasy theme of Splinterlands.
Why I Decided to Buy the Card
A card can become valuable for reasons. It may have combat statistics, useful abilities, limited circulation or high demand from players. Thanalorian Archer has traits that make it worth watching.
The marketplace shows 4,221 copies of Thanalorian Archer. This means Thanalorian Archer is not very common compared to card pools. At the time Thanalorian Archer is not so rare that getting more copies would be impossible. This balance is interesting for collectors and players.
Understanding the Current Statistics
The statistics shown for Thanalorian Archer make the card particularly interesting. At Level 1 it has:
Mana Cost: 5
Ranged Attack: 1
Speed: 2
Armor: 2
With 1 attack Thanalorian Archer deals modest damage at Level 1. However Thanalorian Archers defense helps balance this.
Four health also gives Thanalorian Archer durability for a five-mana ranged attacker.
Thanalorian Archer Level Progression
The second screenshot shows how Thanalorian Archer improves as it levels up. At Level 1 Thanalorian Archer needs 1 copy. Has an estimated power of 20 with estimated PP of 4.8.
At Level 2 Thanalorian Archer requires 5 copies and its estimated power rises to 100.
At Level 3 Thanalorian Archer needs 14 copies and its estimated power reaches 280.
At Level 4 Thanalorian Archer needs 25 copies. Reaches about 500 estimated power with estimated PP of 119.6.
The progression continues:
Level 5: 40 cards, 800 estimated power
Level 6: 60 cards, 1,200 estimated power
Level 7: 85 cards, 1,700 estimated power
Level 8: 115 cards 2,415 estimated power
This progression shows a point about collectible battle cards: leveling up can need many copies. Therefore owning one copy of Thanalorian Archer today does not mean Thanalorian Archer will reach its power right away. Instead the first copy of Thanalorian Archer is the start of a collection journey.
Abilities and Battle Potential
Thanalorian Archer currently shows two abilities. These abilities appear as icons on Thanalorian Archer and, on the statistics screen. As Thanalorian Archer reaches levels more abilities may appear.
One interesting development happens around Level 7 where the statistics screen shows an additional ability icon. This means that investing in copies and combining them could unlock additional strategic value.
The card’s ranged attack role is also important. Ranged units generally provide value by dealing damage while staying behind frontline units. In a well‑built team Thanalorian Archer can act as a supporting damage dealer of being exposed to direct attacks right away.
This makes positioning and team composition important. A strong tank in front of Thanalorian Archer could let the Archer survive longer and keep adding ranged damage.
The Importance of Leveling
One of the lessons from Thanalorian Archer is the importance of leveling in Splinterlands. A Level 1 card may look simple. Its potential can grow a lot when combined with extra copies.
According to the screenshot the estimated power rises from 20 at Level 1 to 2,415 at Level 8. That is a jump.
However reaching Level 8 needs 115 cards, which's a big investment. Because of this players must decide whether they want to focus on play building a collection, investing or a mix of all three.
For a player keeping Thanalorian Archer at a lower level can be fine. For a player higher levels could give better stats and extra abilities.
My View on the Purchase
Purchasing Thanalorian Archer for 134.70 DEC feels like a step toward building a stronger and more varied collection. I especially like that the card has room for growth. Of being useful only at its current level it gives a long‑term goal to collect more copies.
The card’s five‑mana cost also adds flexibility. In battles where mana limits allow a ranged unit Thanalorian Archer could fit nicely into a Life‑based lineup.
Course no single card guarantees victory. Therefore I would treat Thanalorian Archer as one part of a plan rather than relying on it alone.
Final Thoughts
Overall I am happy to have added Thanalorian Archer to my Splinterlands collection. The card blends artwork, solid defensive stats ranged attack power and an interesting level‑up system. Starting with one copy lets me test the card while also deciding if I want to buy later.

The purchase price of 134.70 DEC, the circulation of 4,221 and the card’s progress from Level 1 to Level 8 make it a card worth following. Its estimated power climbs a lot with each level and extra abilities can make higher‑level versions more useful.

For me this purchase is not about buying one digital card. It is part of the experience of collecting, testing and learning, in Splinterlands. As I keep playing I will watch how Thanalorian Archer performs in battle setups and whether more copies will help it.
Thanalorian Archer may start as a five‑mana ranged unit but with the right strategy, investment and progress it can become a valuable part of a Life‑focused collection.
