Hello everyone!
I am back with another Splinterlands card purchase. Today I decided to add a monster to my collection and the card I purchased is Goblin Mech. I have been trying to improve my card collection for a time because having a good selection of monsters is very important when participating in different battles. Every card has its characteristics, strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes a single monster can make a difference in the outcome of a battle.

I enjoy collecting cards especially when I find something that could be useful in my future strategies. Goblin Mech caught my attention because of its defensive statistics, strong melee attack and interesting appearance. After checking its details I decided that adding this monster to my collection would be a decision.

My Goblin Mech Purchase
I purchased one copy of Goblin Mech from the Splinterlands marketplace. The purchase price was 91.69 DEC. I think collecting cards that can contribute to my battle strategies is a way to develop my account.
Although I already have monsters in my collection I always look for opportunities to add cards that offer something different. Sometimes I need a monster with attacking power while in other battles I need something that can absorb attacks and protect the other members of my team.

Goblin Mech looks like a monster that can perform a role in certain battle situations. I am particularly interested in its combination of melee damage and armor. I believe these characteristics could make it a useful option when I need a monster on the battlefield.
Goblin Mech – Card Statistics
Goblin Mech is a Common Neutral Monster. One of the advantages of Neutral cards is that they can provide additional flexibility when building a team. Since they are not restricted to an elemental team they can be considered in different battle combinations.

At level 1 Goblin Mech has the following statistics:
Mana Cost: 10
Attack: 4 Melee
Speed: 3
Armor: 5
Health: 6
Ability: Piercing
Looking at these statistics I think Goblin Mech has a balanced combination of offensive and defensive power.
Its mana cost is 10 which means I will need to consider the mana carefully before including it in my lineup. It may not be the choice for every low-mana battle but in battles with a larger mana limit it could become an interesting option.
The four melee attack points are one of the reasons I wanted this card. A monster with four melee damage can put pressure on an opponents frontline. If it survives enough it can contribute a lot of damage throughout the battle.
Its three speed is not particularly high. I think the other statistics help compensate for that weakness.
Why I Like Its Armor and Health
One thing that immediately attracted me to Goblin Mech was its strength.
At level 1 it has five armor and six health. This is a combination that gives it an amount of protection against incoming attacks.
Aving five armor means Goblin Mech can potentially absorb attacks before its health becomes vulnerable.
Course armor does not protect against every type of attack. Magic damage for example can bypass armor under battle conditions. Therefore I will still need to consider the opponents lineup when deciding whether to use this monster.
Nevertheless I like having monsters with defensive statistics in my collection. A monster that can survive longer has opportunities to attack and support the rest of the team.
Understanding Its Piercing Ability
Another feature of Goblin Mech is its Piercing ability.
I think this ability can be particularly useful against opponents who depend heavily on armor for protection.
For example if an enemy monster has only a small amount of armor remaining Goblin Mechs attack can potentially damage both its armor and health in the attack.
This gives the card an offensive advantage. I always like monsters that have abilities of changing the way a battle develops.
My Future Level-Up Plan
At the moment I have purchased one copy of Goblin Mech so it is currently at level 1. However I have already looked at its level progression. There are some interesting improvements available.
As the card receives copies and reaches higher levels its statistics gradually improve. Its attack power, armor and health become stronger at stages.
According to the level information Goblin Mech reaches five melee attack at level 5. At levels it also receives additional abilities making it more interesting for advanced battles.
My long-term goal is to improve the cards in my collection than simply purchasing many different monsters and leaving them at their starting levels.
I do not necessarily plan to upgrade every card. Instead I prefer to make improvements according to my available resources and the cards that I use most frequently.
Goblin Mech is now another card that I can consider for upgrades.
Building Better Battle Strategies
One of the reasons I continue playing Splinterlands is that every battle requires an approach.
Sometimes a strategy that works perfectly in one match may not work all in another. The mana limit, rulesets, opponents cards and team combinations can all influence the result.
This is why I believe having a diverse card collection is important.
Goblin Mech could be useful when I have enough mana available and want to include a monster with both attacking and defensive capabilities.
Its four melee damage gives it a starting attack while its armor and health provide some protection against incoming physical attacks. Its Piercing ability also gives it an opportunity to deal damage against armored opponents.
However I understand that no card is perfect in every situation. Its mana cost is relatively high. Its speed is only three. I will need to choose the battle conditions before including it in my team.
I am looking forward to testing combinations and finding the situations where Goblin Mech performs best.
Why I Continue Investing in My Collection
I do not see every card purchase as adding another item to my inventory. I prefer to think about how that card might help me in battles.
Goblin Mech is another step in that journey.
That is what makes this game interesting to me. There is always something to learn and there are always different combinations worth trying.
One important detail about this card is that it is playable in Wild and Survival formats. A Wild Pass is required to access Wild Ranked play. I will keep this restriction in mind when planning where to use it.
Final Thoughts
Overall I am happy with my decision to purchase Goblin Mech for 91.69 DEC. It is a Neutral monster with a useful combination of melee attack, armor, health and the Piercing ability.
Although it is currently at level 1 I can see potential in developing it. My plan is to use it in battles understand how it performs against different opponents and eventually collect more copies to increase its level.
For me collecting and improving cards is one of the enjoyable parts of Splinterlands. Every new purchase makes my collection a little more complete. Gives me more options when preparing for battles.
I hope Goblin Mech will become an addition, to my lineup and help me achieve better results in future matches.
I am happy to continue this journey, one card at a time. There are still monsters I would like to collect and upgrade and I will keep working toward making my account stronger.
Thank you much for reading about my latest Splinterlands purchase. I wish all Splinterlands players luck with their battles, card collections and rewards.
