My New Purchase in Splinterlands – Rusty Android

Hello Splinterlands Community!

I am again with another update about my Splinterlands journey. As many of you already know I always enjoy improving my card collection and finding cards that can make my battle lineup stronger. Today I am happy to share another card purchase that I recently made. This time I decided to add Rusty Android to my collection.

I purchased one copy of this card for 149.13 DEC. Although it may not look like the monster at first glance I believe every card has its own importance in the right battle situation. Sometimes a card that appears ordinary can become a part of a winning strategy when it is combined with the right teammates.

Introducing Rusty Android

Rusty Android is a monster in Splinterlands. One thing I particularly like about cards is their flexibility. They can be used alongside elements, which gives players more freedom when building their teams.

The card has a mana cost of 6 meaning I will need to consider my mana carefully before including it in a battle. At level 1 Rusty Android comes with the following statistics:

  • Mana Cost: 6

  • Melee Attack: 2

  • Speed: 1

  • Armor: 0

  • Health: 6

  • Ability: Magic Reflect

These statistics make it an interesting addition to my collection. It has 2 melee attack damage and 6 health at its level. Its speed is 1 so it may not attack early in many battles. However I do not think speed alone determines whether a card is useful or not.

The ability is one of the interesting features of this monster.

Why I Like the Magic Reflect Ability

The main reason I find Rusty Android interesting is its Magic Reflect ability. Magic attackers can be dangerous because their attacks can reach monsters in positions on the battlefield. Having a monster that can return some damage to an opponent makes this card worth considering.

Magic Reflect returns reduced damage to an enemy monster when Rusty Android is hit by an attack. This means that an opponent relying heavily on attackers may have to think carefully before targeting this monster.

I always try to consider the abilities of my cards before creating a battle lineup. A good ability can sometimes make a difference than simply having high attack power.

Course Rusty Android will not be equally effective in every battle. Its usefulness will depend on the enemy lineup, battle rules, mana limit and the other monsters I choose. Still I believe its ability gives it a role in certain situations.

My Plans for Leveling Up This Card

Another thing I noticed while checking the card statistics was its level progression. Like other Splinterlands monsters Rusty Android becomes stronger when additional copies are combined to increase its level.

At levels its statistics improve gradually. It gains melee attack, speed and health. According to the level information it can eventually reach 4 melee attack, 4 speed and 10 health at level 10.

That is quite an improvement compared with its starting statistics.

I currently own one copy so it is at level 1. I would like to collect copies in the future and gradually increase its level. My long-term goal is to improve my collection of purchasing cards without thinking about their usefulness.

I know that reaching the level requires patience and resources. Therefore I will take my time. Purchase additional copies whenever I find a suitable opportunity.

How I Intend to Use Rusty Android in Battles

I do not want to judge a card by looking at its statistics. The real test always comes when we use it in battles.

Because Rusty Android has melee damage positioning will be important. Normally melee monsters are most useful in the position unless they have an ability that allows them to attack from another position.

With 6 health at level 1 it has an amount of health for absorbing some damage. However it has no armor so I will need to be careful when facing opponents with attacks.

I also want to experiment with team combinations. Pairing it with monsters that provide support or improve team statistics could make it more effective.

I am especially interested in testing its Magic Reflect ability against teams that depend on attacks. It will be interesting to see how difference this ability can make during a battle.

I do not expect every match become a victory simply because I have purchased a card. Instead I want understand where it performs best and how I can use it intelligently.

An Important Thing About Its Game Mode

There is another detail mentioning about this purchase. The card information clearly indicates that Rusty Android is playable in Wild and Survival modes. A Wild Pass is required to access Wild battles.

This is something players should keep in mind before purchasing the card. I always believe it is important to understand where a card can be used before spending DEC on it.

For me expanding my collection is not about having more cards. I also want to make sure that the cards I purchase have a purpose in my gameplay strategy.

My Thoughts About This Purchase

I spent 149.13 DEC to bring Rusty Android into my collection. Some players might prefer purchasing powerful or expensive monsters but I like exploring different cards and discovering their potential.

Every purchase gives me another opportunity to experiment with strategies. Sometimes I find a card that immediately becomes a part of my team. Times I need several battles before understanding how to use it properly.

That is one of the reasons I continue enjoying Splinterlands. There is always something to learn even after playing for a long time.

I also enjoy the process of building my collection. Looking back at my collection and comparing it with what I have today makes me feel happy. I have invested time and resources into improving my account. I want to continue that journey.

My plan is to collect useful monsters upgrade their levels and create stronger combinations for different battle situations.

Final Thoughts

Overall I am happy with my decision to purchase Rusty Android. It is not a card that I would consider perfect for every situation. Its Magic Reflect ability and Neutral element make it interesting addition my collection.

I am looking forward using it in battles learning more about its strengths weaknesses. Hopefully after collecting copies and increasing its level I will be able to get even more value from this monster.

My Splinterlands journey. Every new card brings another opportunity to improve my gameplay.

Thank you so much for taking the time to read about my latest purchase. I wish everyone in the Splinterlands community the best of luck, with their battles, card collections and rewards.

See you in my Splinterlands update!

Happy Battling, Everyone!
