My New Haunted Spirit Card Purchase – A New Addition to My Death Collection

Today I bought another card in Splinterlands. This time I added Haunted Spirit to my collection. I have always liked collecting cards that can help in kinds of battles. When I saw Haunted Spirit listed in the market I thought it was a moment to add it. I paid 528.62 DEC for the card. I am very glad to have it now.

Haunted Spirit is a Rare Death Unit that costs 5 mana. At Level 1 Haunted Spirit has 2 melee attack, 2 speed and 7 health. The thing that interests me most about Haunted Spirit is not these numbers but also its ability. That ability can make Haunted Spirit far more useful when it is positioned correctly and paired with the team.

When I buy a card I normally think about how I can use it in battles, not just its look or rarity. In Splinterlands each card has a role and a battle’s success often relies on how we mix different cards. I think Haunted Spirit can become a member of my Death team especially when I need a card that can survive for a decent amount of time.

I first noticed Haunted Spirit’s 7 health at Level 1. A 5‑mana card with 7 health gives me confidence when I send it into battle. Course a card’s real performance depends on the ruleset, opponent, summoner and other cards on the field. Still having health is always useful because living one more round can sometimes change the whole outcome of a battle.

Haunted Spirit has 2 melee attack, which's not very high but I think it is enough for many situations. I do not expect Haunted Spirit to wipe out the enemy team alone. Instead I see Haunted Spirit as a card that can help in battle while also adding value with its ability. This is the type of card I like because it gives me choices when I build my lineup.

Another thing I like about Haunted Spirit is its 2 speed. It is not a fast card so I must be careful about where and how I use it. Speed can be very important in Splinterlands because attacking first can sometimes change the game. Yet not every battle needs a fast monster. Sometimes survival and the ability to recover health are more important than attacking first.

The ability is probably the reason I was drawn to Haunted Spirit. That ability makes Haunted Spirit different from a melee attacker. When a card can heal or keep its health it can stay on the field longer. I really like cards that can survive longer because they can give my monsters more time to attack the opponent.

I am also thinking about leveling up Haunted Spirit in the future. The second image shows how Haunted Spirit improves as it reaches levels. At levels Haunted Spirit gains better statistics and new abilities. At Level 5 for example Haunted Spirit has 3 melee attack, 3 speed and 9 health. At the level shown Haunted Spirit has 4 melee attack, 3 speed and 10 health, plus more abilities.

This is one reason I enjoy collecting copies of a card. Buying one copy is the start for me. If I like using Haunted Spirit I can slowly buy copies and later level them up. A higher‑level Haunted Spirit gives me options in battles and can become much more valuable to my collection.

I did not buy Haunted Spirit just because it is Rare. I bought it because I wanted to grow my Death collection and have another option when I build my team. Sometimes I find that having different cards is more useful than relying on only a few. Every battle can have a ruleset, mana limit and mix of monsters so having more choices is always helpful.

I also like the artwork of Haunted Spirit. The ghostly look, glowing body and dark design fit the Death theme well. The card has a feel that makes it look like a natural part of the Death collection. For me the artwork is not the reason, for buying the card but it does make collecting it more enjoyable.

The purchase itself was a satisfying moment. When I saw the confirmation screen that displayed one Haunted Spirit and the total price of 528.62 DEC I felt that I had added something to my collection. Each time I buy a card I sense that my collection is slowly becoming stronger and giving me more possibilities.

Now my next goal is to test Haunted Spirit in battles. I want to see how Haunted Spirit performs against teams and whether Haunted Spirit’s ability can really make a difference in the situations where I plan to use Haunted Spirit. Sometimes Haunted Spirit looks very good in the collection screen. Haunted Spirit’s real value becomes clear only after playing several battles with Haunted Spirit.

I also want to experiment with combinations around Haunted Spirit. The Death element has interesting cards and I think combining the right cards together can make a big difference. If I can build a lineup where Haunted Spirit survives for a time while my other monsters deal damage I believe Haunted Spirit can become a very useful part of my strategy.

Overall I am very happy with this purchase. Haunted Spirit is now another card in my Splinterlands collection. I am looking forward to using Haunted Spirit in future battles. Haunted Spirit may not be the card in every situation but I believe that every good card has its own place when used correctly.

For me collecting cards is not about increasing the number of cards in my account. It is also about trying strategies learning from battles improving my lineup and enjoying the game. That is why this Haunted Spirit purchase feels meaningful to me. I will continue using Haunted Spirit, testing combinations and hopefully collecting more copies so that I can level Haunted Spirit up in the future.

For now I am simply happy to have Haunted Spirit in my collection. I am excited to see how good battles I can win with Haunted Spirit and what kind of role Haunted Spirit will eventually play in my Death team. This is another step, in my Splinterlands journey. I am looking forward to the next card the next battle and the next achievement.
