My New Flesh Golem Purchase in Splinterlands
Today I added another card my Splinterlands collection this time I bought Flesh Golem. Every time I buy a card I feel that my collection is becoming a little stronger and more complete. I have been slowly building my collection for a time and I always try to choose cards that can be useful in battles instead of buying them only for collection purposes.
Today I spent 331.13 DEC to purchase one Flesh Golem. I was happy to see this card added to my collection because I believe it can become a card for my future battles. I especially liked its health mana cost and the possibility of improving its abilities through leveling up.
My First Look at Flesh Golem
The Flesh Golem I bought is currently at Level 1. At this level it has a 6 Mana Cost, 2 Melee Attack, 3 Speed and 9 Health.
When I first looked at the card the 9 Health immediately caught my attention. For me having health is very important for a frontline monster. A frontline card has to survive enemy attacks enough to give the rest of the team enough time to attack.
The 6 Mana Cost also seems reasonable to me. It is not an extremely low-cost card but considering its health and overall statistics I think it can fit into different battle situations.
Its 3 Speed is another part of the card. It is not extremely fast. It also does not feel too slow. Depending on the ruleset and the opponents lineup I think this speed can be useful.
Why I Decided Buy It
I have been trying improve my Splinterlands collection step by step. Whenever I have the opportunity I like purchase cards that I believe can help me in battles.
Flesh Golem attracted my attention because it has room for a lot of improvement. The Level chart shows that the card becomes stronger as it is leveled up. Its health and attack can. New abilities are also added at higher levels.
A card may look simple at Level 1. After collecting more copies and leveling it up the same card can become much more useful.
That is how I feel about my new Flesh Golem. I do not want to look at its current Level 1 statistics. I am also thinking about what this card can become after I invest resources into it.
A Potential Frontline Monster
My first thought after buying Flesh Golem was to use it as a frontline monster.
With 9 Health at Level 1 it already has an amount of health. When I put a monster in the position I always want it to survive for as long as possible. If the frontline monster can withstand attacks my other monsters get more time to deal damage.
Flesh Golem may be useful for this type of strategy.
Course I know that there is no single card that is perfect for every battle. The best choice depends on the Mana Cap, Ruleset, cards and the opponents strategy. So I will need to test Flesh Golem in battles before I can fully understand where it performs best.
That is actually one of the parts for me. I want to experiment with this card and see how it performs against enemy lineups.
Looking at the Higher Levels
The Level chart of Flesh Golem makes me even more interested in this card.
At Level 2 its health increases to 10 while further levels bring improvements. From Level 3 the card receives an ability and more abilities become available at higher levels.
This is very important to me because I always like leveling up my cards whenever possible.
My goal is not necessarily to upgrade everything. Instead I prefer to progress step by step. As I collect copies of Flesh Golem I can eventually level it up and make it more useful in my battles.
The higher-level version shown in the screenshot looks more powerful than the Level 1 version. That gives me another reason to keep this card and work toward upgrading it in the future.
Another Step in My Splinterlands Journey
Buying a card may seem like a small thing but for me every new card represents another step in my Splinterlands journey.
Over time I have collected different cards and gradually improved my account. Some cards have become parts of my battle strategies while others are waiting for the right opportunity.
I think Flesh Golem can become one of those cards that I will use regularly after I understand it better.
One thing I really enjoy about Splinterlands is the collection system. There are many cards with different statistics and abilities and every card can have a different purpose depending on the battle.
Because of this I never feel that my collection is truly complete. There is always another card that I want to collect another card that I want to level up or another strategy that I want to try.
Once I have the opportunity to level up Flesh Golem I am especially interested in testing its abilities. I want to see how difference those abilities can make in real battles.
I also want to experiment with team combinations. A card can perform differently depending on the other monsters and Summoner used alongside it. So I will try combinations and see which ones work best for my playing style.
Every new purchase gives me a kind of excitement. Sometimes I buy a card because of its statistics because of its abilities and sometimes simply because I believe it can become useful in the future.
Flesh Golem is a combination of all these reasons for me.
It has health, a reasonable Mana Cost, useful basic statistics and the potential to become much stronger through leveling up. That makes me happy with todays purchase.
I know that one card alone will not change everything in my account.
Overall I am very happy with my decision to purchase Flesh Golem today. I spent 331.13 DEC to add this card to my collection. I believe it can become a useful part of my future battle strategies.

For me Splinterlands is not about winning individual battles. It is also about building a stronger collection learning how different cards work together and enjoying the journey.
Today Flesh Golem became another member of my collection. I am excited to see how useful it can become in my battles.
