My feelings and practical experience after buying the Sea Monster card

Today, I added a new card to my Splinterlands card collection again. This time the card I bought is Sea Monster. This Common Unit card of Water Element seemed quite interesting to me. Especially after seeing the card's power, health and additional abilities available at later levels, I felt that it could be very useful in my future battles. So after thinking a lot, I finally decided to buy the Sea Monster card.

As you can see in the picture, I bought a Sea Monster card for 128.09 DEC. The moment of buying the card was also a joy for me, because buying a new card in Splinterlands means creating an opportunity to strengthen my collection a little more. Each card has different characteristics and if you use the right card at the right time, it is possible to bring a normal battle to your favor. My expectations for Sea Monster are pretty much the same.

Sea Monster is a Common Unit of Water Element and is basically a powerful Melee attacking card. The Mana Cost of this card at the first level is 8. That is, it is a card that requires a good amount of Mana to use. However, the power and health that it gets in return are not less. At the first level, Sea Monster has Melee Attack 4, Speed 1 and Health 8. There is no Armor. Looking at these statistics, it can be understood that it is not a very fast attacker; rather, it is made to survive on the field with strong damage and good Health.

The best aspect of Sea Monster for me is its Survival ability. Although Speed is low, it will not be easily eliminated from the field due to its good Health. Many times, situations arise in battles where a stronger and more Health card becomes more important than a fast card. Especially if a reliable card is needed to handle attacks from the front, then Sea Monster can be a good option.

The ability that is shown in the picture of the card is Heal. This ability is available from the first level. For me, this is one of the most important features of Sea Monster. Because having Heal will not only allow the card to attack, but also allow it to restore its Health. In a long battle, this ability can make a big difference. If the opponent cannot defeat the Sea Monster at once, it can increase its Health again and continue the fight for some more time.

The second part of the picture also shows the statistics of the different levels of the Sea Monster. As the level increases, the card's power gradually increases. Although the first level has 4 Attack and 8 Health, the Attack, Speed, and Health increase in the later levels. Especially when it reaches a higher level, its power goes to a better position. So now I don't see the card that I bought just for the current situation, but also as an opportunity to level up in the future.

Then at level 3, Health is 9 and the Attack and Speed improve further in the later levels. At level 4, Attack is 5 and Speed is 2. Then at level 5, the card improves further. The most interesting thing is that from level 6, the Sea Monster gets an additional power. That is, as the card levels up, not only does its numerical strength increase, but it also becomes more important from a strategic perspective.

The addition of a second ability to Sea Monster at higher levels is quite interesting to me. Because in the Splinterlands, winning a battle is not always achieved by just having high Attack or Health. The card's Ability, Speed, Position, and entire Team Composition are much more important. So I want to test Sea Monster in different Ruleset and Mana situations in the future.

However, there is one thing to keep in mind about this card. It costs 8 Mana. So it will not always be possible to use Sea Monster in low Mana battles. But when there is enough Mana and the opportunity to use a strong Melee Unit, this card can be a good choice for my team. Especially in battles where there is a possibility of fighting for a long time, Sea Monster can provide an additional advantage due to its Heal ability.

I think it's also important to choose other cards in the team when using Sea Monster. Since its Speed is relatively low, some Support or Ability can be used that will compensate for its weaknesses to some extent. Sea Monster can be more effective when played in combination with other cards of the Water Element. This is the most interesting thing about Splinterlands for me—a card that is as powerful as it is on its own can be even more effective when used in the right team.

Another thing I liked is that Sea Monster looks as powerful as it looks, and the design of the card fits its name quite well. Its artwork is made like a huge creature emerging from the sea. The blue color of the card also fits nicely with the Water Element. I always like the artwork of Splinterlands cards, and Sea Monster is a nice addition to my collection in that regard.

The price at which I bought the card was also a consideration for me. I spent 128.09 DEC to add a new card to my collection. Of course, when buying a card, you don't just look at the price; How usable the card is, how likely it is to level up in the future, and how well it fits into my current collection—all these things are important to consider. In the case of Sea Monster, I think there are enough reasons to invest in this card.

However, I also think that buying a card does not guarantee victory in a battle. In Splinterlands, the situation is different for every match. The ruleset changes, the mana changes, and the opponent's team composition is also different. So my main goal will be to use Sea Monster in the right situation.

It has added a new Water Unit to my collection and at the same time created a new goal to Level Up in the future. Especially the healing ability, good health, and the increase in strength at later levels make me optimistic. Now I want to play some more battles with this card and test its effectiveness in real battles.

To me, Splinterlands is not just a Battle Game; With every new card collection comes the opportunity to learn something new. I feel the same way about Sea Monster. I bought this card today for 128.09 DEC, and I will gradually try to make it stronger. Hopefully, with the right Team Combination and the right Strategy, Sea Monster will play a good role in many of my important battles. I am really happy to have this new card added to my collection, and I am looking forward to seeing its performance in the future.
