I opened Gladius packs. Received interesting cards. As always opening packs is one of the parts of this game for me. Every time I open a pack I feel excited because I never know exactly which cards I will receive. Sometimes I get cards that I already have while times I discover cards that could become additions to my collection.

This time I received cards, including rare cards and an epic card. I was happy to see these cards because each one gives me another opportunity to improve my collection and explore strategies in battles. In this post I want to share my experience with the Gladies pack opening and explain why I think these cards can be useful for my progress in Splinterlands.
Opening Gladius Packs

Collecting cards is a part of my journey in Splinterlands. I always look forward to discovering what I will receive from each pack.
The collection includes Relenor Cleaver, Whistling Damon, Krash Wanderford, Kotiphus Bayne, Marisol Contuma, Chimney Wallstop, Hugo Strongsword, Sarius, Witch of Warwick, Alfredo, Helmet Kharafax and Bertrol Gobson.

Some cards appeared more than once which can also be useful because duplicate cards may help with collection management and progression depending on the games mechanics. I like seeing names and abilities in my collection because it gives me options when preparing for battles.
For me every pack opening is an opportunity to learn something about the game. When I do not receive the card I was hoping for I still appreciate the chance to expand my collection.
Relenor Cleaver: A Looking Card
One of the cards that caught my attention was Relenor Cleaver. From the screenshot this card has a mana cost of 9 four attack, seven armor, six health and two speed.
These statistics make Relenor Cleaver an interesting card to consider when building a battle team. Its armor and health could help it survive attacks while its attack value gives it the potential to deal damage.
However a cards effectiveness depends on more than its displayed statistics. The ruleset, mana, opposing team and abilities all influence whether a card is the choice for a particular battle.
I would like to experiment with this card in battles and see how it performs against opponents. Finding the situation for each card is one of the things that makes Splinterlands interesting to me.
Whistling Damon: Another Interesting Addition
In battles where the mana limits choosing affordable cards can be important because it allows me to build a team without using all my available mana on one monster.
I am interested in testing Whistling Damon in team combinations. Sometimes a lower-cost card can provide flexibility when combined with monsters.
Krash Wanderford: A Card Worth Testing
I also received Krash Wanderford.
Kotiphus Bayne and Marisol Contuma
Kotiphus Bayne is another card in my collection from this pack-opening session. The screenshot shows a mana cost of 6 two attack, twelve health and two speed.
The high health value is particularly noticeable. A card with health may have the potential to remain in battle for longer although its real durability depends on the attacks and abilities it faces.
Marisol Contuma was another card to receive because it is marked as a card in the screenshot.
I hope to find opportunities to use Marisol Contuma in battles and discover how it performs alongside my other cards.
Chimney Wallstop and Hugo Strongsword
Chimney Wallstop is another card I received. The screenshot shows a mana cost of 10 five attack, three armor, eight health and one speed.
Because of its mana cost I would need to think before including it in a team. It may be worth considering in battles where I have mana available. Its statistics fit the strategy I want to use.
Hugo Strongsword also caught my attention. It has a mana cost of 5, one attack, three armor, six health and two speed.
Although its displayed attack is lower than that of some cards in this collection I would not judge its usefulness from one statistic alone. Its abilities and the conditions of a battle may influence how valuable it can be.
This is something I continue to learn while playing Splinterlands: choosing a team is not about selecting the cards with the numbers. The combination of cards and the way they work together can be just as important.
Sarius and Witch of Warwick
Sarius is another card from my Gladius pack opening. The screenshot shows a mana cost of 3, two attack, three health and three speed.
I appreciate receiving cards with mana costs because they give me flexibility when building teams.
Witch of Warwick is another card that I received. I found its artwork interesting. The screenshot shows a mana cost of 5 two attack, two health and one speed.
I would like to experiment with Witch of Warwick and see how it performs against lineups.
My goal is to become more familiar with these cards than collecting them. The more I learn about their strengths and limitations the better I can prepare for battles.
Alfredo, Helmet Kharafax and Bertrol Gobson
The pack opening also gave me Alfredo, Helmet Kharafax and Bertrol Gobson.
Alfredo is a low-cost card with a mana cost of 2, one attack, four health and two speed. Cards with mana costs can be helpful when I need to fill the remaining space in a team while staying within the battles mana limit.
Finally there is Bertrol Gobson, another low-cost card in my collection. It has a mana cost of 2, one attack, three health and three speed.
I like having cards with characteristics because they make my collection more flexible. Even if a card is not my choice for every battle it may still become useful under the conditions.
Why These Cards Matter to My Progress
I also understand that duplicate cards and cards with rarities can have roles in my collection. Than focusing on rarity I want to pay attention to the abilities, statistics, mana costs and potential uses of each card.
My favorite part of this experience is having possibilities to explore. I can try team combinations learn from my losses and make adjustments for matches.
Every battle teaches me something and every pack opening adds another part to my gaming journey.
My Final Thoughts
Overall I am happy with this Gladius pack-opening experience. I received cards, including Relenor Cleaver, Whistling Damon, Krash Wanderford, Kotiphus Bayne, Marisol Contuma, Chimney Wallstop, Hugo Strongsword, Sarius, Witch of Warwick, Alfredo, Helmet Kharafax and Bertrol Gobson.
The card Marisol Contuma was an exciting addition while the other cards also give me more options to explore. I am looking forward to testing them in battles and learning which combinations work best for my playing style.
Splinterlands is still fun, for me because there is always something to find. Sometimes I open packs sometimes I get cards. Sometimes I try different ways to get better at the game. These little things make the game more fun. Make me want to keep playing.
I hope my collection keeps getting bigger and that I can use these cards in fights. I know there is still a lot I don't know. I am glad to keep going one step at a time.
Thank you for reading about my Gladius pack-opening experience. I hope all Splinterlands players have luck, with their packs and future fights!
Have you opened any Gladius packs lately? Which card would you be most excited to get?
