Today I am sharing a special moment from my gaming journey, which honestly feels like a huge achievement for me. This entire experience came from the game Splinterlands, where I was able to unlock the “MODERN GOLD I” tier and the rewards that came with it were a completely different experience.
In this blog, I am writing the entire incident in my own words, with my own feelings—how I reached this level, what I got, and why this journey was so important to me.
🔶 The moment I unlocked MODERN GOLD I
When the “MODERN GOLD I UNLOCKED” screen appeared in the game, I was a little taken aback at first. Because it was not just a level up, but it was like a testament to my gaming skills and strategy.
When I saw that golden medal type emblem on screen, I realized I was no longer normal tier. I had now moved level where competition was much tougher but rewards were also much greater.
This moment gave me sense achievement not just a game. Because it wasn’t just about cards or winning losing, but also about my own decisions, my own strategy, and my patience.
🎁 Reward Opening – One Surprise After Another
The next step was when I clicked “View Rewards”, the real fun began. I started opening chests one after another. And each chest contained something.
Although I got some simple items at first, I gradually realized that the reward list was much stronger this time.

🃏 Card Drop – This is where the real fun begins
The most exciting part of the rewards was getting the cards.
Some of the cards I got were really interesting:
🟣 Grim Bonewhip (Dwarf)
I was a little excited after getting this card. Because its stats and usage are useful in many strategic fights. Being a Dwarf type unit, it is very defensive and can maintain an attack balance.
🟣 Thorn Maw Berserker (Avian)
This card seemed more powerful. Avian type units are usually known for their speed and attack. During battle, it can deal quick damage and can often turn the tide of the match.
🟣 Gravebrand Warlock (Rare)
This card seemed a little different to me. Because Warlock type cards usually work well in magic-based strategies. When I saw it, I immediately thought that it would be useful for building magic decks in the future.
🟢 Husk of the Hunter (Undead)
This card is a very unique type. Being an undead unit, it is good for surviving long matches. Sometimes this type of card is very necessary for playing patiently.
🧪 Potion Charges – The power within the game
Potion Charges are actually underestimated by many, but now I understand how important their value is.

So they actually work like long-term investment.

Getting Energy means I can now play more matches. This is very important me because more matches I play more experience and rewards I get.
Merits are usually used in special shops or systems in the game. This can be used to unlock good items or rewards in the future.
📜 Scrolls – Small but important part
I got:
1 Rare Scroll
2 Common Scrolls
Many people don't give importance to these, but they are useful for future upgrades or special systems. I think these small things create the balance of the game.
🧠 How my strategy worked
I'm sharing the things I followed to reach this level:
- Keeping deck balance
I tried to make a balanced deck, not just strong cards. I kept a mix of tanks, attacks, and supports.
- Understanding elements
The elemental system is very important in the game. Selecting elements by looking at the opponent's deck has helped me win many matches.
- Being patient
It is not possible win all matches. But when I lose I take it a learning experience.
- Understanding Reward System
I didn't just play, I tried to understand how the rewards worked. It helped me become a smarter player.
