I Bought Another New Card in Splinterlands – Kobold of Burden

One the things I enjoy most about playing Splinterlands is gradually building my card collection. Making it stronger by purchasing useful cards. Whenever I see a card I don't just look at its appearance. I also think about how useful it could be in my battles. Today with that thought in mind I decided to buy Kobold of Burden.

What I liked most about this card when I decided to purchase it was its stats. As shown in the screenshot Kobold of Burden is a Rare Life Unit. Requires 5 Mana to use. In my opinion 5 Mana is not too high and not too low. Because of this I believe there will be battles where I can use this card depending on the Mana Cap and the rules of the battle.

The purchase price shown in the screenshot was 453.57 DEC. I felt that buying this card would be an addition to my collection especially when thinking about future battles. My goal is not to buy cards for one particular match. I want to build a collection where I have different options available for different Rulesets Mana Caps and situations. Kobold of Burden is now another part of that plan.

I Like the Stats of Kobold of Burden

Looking at the first-level stats Kobold of Burden has 3 Speed, 4 Armor and 6 Health. For a card that costs 5 Mana I think having 6 Health and 4 Armor is quite useful.

In Splinterlands sometimes we focus mainly on cards that can deal a lot of damage.. For me a good card becomes even more valuable when it can also survive attacks and provide some defensive support. Because Kobold of Burden has both Armor and Health I think it could be useful in situations where surviving the opponents attackss important.

Its 3 Speed is also decent. Higher Speed can provide a chance of attacking earlier and sometimes avoiding enemy attacks. Although 3 Speed is not extremely high it can become more useful when combined with buffs or debuffs.

It Can Become Stronger After Leveling Up

When I purchased this card I was not thinking about its current level. The screenshot shows that Kobold of Burden becomes stronger as it is leveled up. Its stats improve at levels and additional abilities are also unlocked.

This is one of the things I like about Splinterlands. Sometimes a card may look fairly ordinary at Level 1. After leveling it up its real potential becomes much more noticeable.

I have seen this happen with cards before. That is why when I purchase a card I don't look at its current stats. I also check what abilities and improvements it can receive at levels. I have the plan for Kobold of Burden.

If I can collect copies of this card in the future I would like to level it up gradually. Course I cannot do everything at once so I will upgrade it according to my budget and the needs of my battles.

I Hope to Use It in Future Battles

One of the enjoyable things about Splinterlands is that we cannot always use the same type of team in every battle. Sometimes we have a Mana Cap while other times we have to play with very limited Mana. Different Rulesets also force us to change our strategies.

Because of this I believe having a card like Kobold of Burden in my collection can give me another option for battles.

Since it costs 5 Mana I think there will be opportunities to use it in medium-Mana battles. Its Armor and Health could also make it useful in situations where I need a card that can survive attacks.

However the position where I use it will depend on the Ruleset, Mana Cap, Summoner and the other cards available for that battle. I always try to think about a card as part of the team instead of looking at it individually.

A card can be very powerful on its own. If it is not combined properly with the right Summoner and supporting cards its full potential may not be used. So I want to test Kobold of Burden with team combinations and find out where it performs best.

Buying a New Card Always Makes Me Happy

There is a feeling that comes with buying a new card. Every new card makes my collection a little bigger. Gives me another option for future battles.

Sometimes a purchased card may not make a huge difference immediately.. When that card eventually helps me win an important battle it feels like the decision to buy it was completely worth it.

I have a feeling after buying Kobold of Burden today. I don't know exactly which battle will be its important performance but I am happy that this card is now part of my own collection.

My goal is to make my Splinterlands account stronger. For this reason I am purchasing cards that I think will be useful upgrading some of my existing cards and experimenting with combinations.

As my collection grows I am getting options than before. Of depending on only a few cards I can now think about different strategies depending on the situation.

I believe that doing well in Splinterlands is not about having powerful cards. It is also important to understand when and where to use a card, which Summoner works with it and which Rulesets can make a particular card more useful.

That is why along with buying cards I also try to learn more about how each card can be used effectively.

Kobold of Burden may not be the most expensive card in my collection but every new card has its own value to me. Each card gives me another possibility and another strategy to try in battles.

Final Thoughts

Finally I am happy with todays purchase of Kobold of Burden for 453.57 DEC. I hope this card will bring me results in my future battles. I also hope to level it up and unlock more of its potential.

My Splinterlands journey is continuing one card at a time. With every purchase my collection becomes a little stronger and I get more opportunities to experiment with different strategies.

The happiness of buying and collecting cards is one of the reasons I continue to enjoy Splinterlands so much. Every new card brings possibilities, new strategies and new excitement for future battles.

So todays purchase of Kobold of Burden is another meaningful addition, to my Splinterlands journey.
