I want you to imagine for a minute or five, that it was Germany who prevailed in World War II. In doing so, they would have also dominated their Axis - Italy and Japan. Do you think that you would be where you are today? I dare say, you would be hailing Hitler as a hero since it is the winners who write the History books. You would be working a job they tell you - regardless what your strengths are. You would not play any sports. You wouldn't even be watching the Super Bowl right now - it wouldn't exist.
But would you be any the wiser? Could you handle being occupied by a dictatorship and told you can only eat the wheat bread? You don't get raisin bread or sourdough or rye, those are for Nazis. You don't get honey. That is for Nazis. You don't even get peanut butter or jelly, just bread and butter. You don't get socks and they don't care if the hard leather soles have given you gangrene and is a permanent thing in your family. They wouldn't care that your blanket has holes and your door doesn't close all the way. You're Bob Cratchit to them. A slave to do their work.
Seeing this as a possible outcome, and answering the attack on Pearl Harbor, the United States decided to help put an end to such a threat. Some of those same people are alive to tell the horror and hero stories to this day. They are called our Veterans, and some of them, need our help. They say - Freedom isn't free. Take a look at this video real quick, maybe you can relate to it, or maybe, it might give you a bit of perspective on the why's.
There are many things a soldier goes through that, if you don't actually go through it, would be extremely hard for one to relate to. Movies can make you cry, they can show you some of the hopes, fears and tribulations and they can try their best to let you see through a veteran's eyes, but to live it? Be in the mind of a soldier? The Ten Commandments do not apply in war. The Bill of Rights, does not apply in some situations. For some, there are no rules, no laws, and having to experience that - I mean really live it, is hard.
So, we respect our veterans that were willing to (and did) put their lives on the line time after time to uphold what we believe in. We have enough respect, that we have decided to take action. Serious action. For the people that did the things most would never dream of, we are going to create a token. Not just any token, no. This is not to put money in our wallets. This is not to make bank on the markets for sales or build our portfolios. This is to take care of those that took care of our interests and ways of life.
If you'll notice the beneficiary of this post, it isn't me. All of this is going to start funding for the creation of the CAV token up there in the first graphic that fellow vet - @inthenow - created this evening. We're not sure how long this will take. Maybe a few whales will smash the shit out of this post and that's all it will need. Maybe collectively, several of the vets (or anyone that cares to) will make posts with @tokencav as the beneficiary or maybe even - some will send some HBD or HIVE to our fiscal account.
Once we have enough to create the token, so shall it be. We had a small get together earlier this afternoon and brainstormed different ways we could help out our vets. If you'll notice in those two videos above, that was one of them. Here is a short list of some of our goals as this progresses with our real world use case CAV token:
So we thought, while spit-balling in the Veteran's discord server today, what if??? We realized and decided, it can happen. We just have to do it. If @ecoinstant can buy land in Columbia and if @ecency can sponsor a Nascar car and if I can buy my own kids vehicles to drive then by the power vested in Hive - we can take care of our vets too. What about you, do you want to help in some way? Drop a comment below or hop in the discord and let us know! In the meantime, REMEMBER TO BE YOU! I always am, even when my trigger finger never stops itching.
In loving memeory of @wolfhart
Could set up a branch of the whole kit n kaboodle and name it after him.
That just made me cry !
I am sure his friends here like @wesphilbin and @melinda010100 would love this idea aswell

As a U.S. Vet... Hmmm....
You know, it's a funny thing, from My point of view...
The U.S. does not feel it has done enough for it's Vets,
I agree...
However the Vets of today, get Much, MUCH More than us
Vietnam & Vietnam era Vets get - from anywhere!
And actually...
They have been writing our benefits - "Steady" for the last
20 years. Since we are becoming a dwindling group, I hope someone - somewhere can find a way to help us.
If those still around, there is a "Much" larger than expected population of homeless, etc...
Excellent focus group man, duly noted.
Thanks!
I mean I normally say nothing..
But if a Veteran's thing comes up in any way,
I feel it's my duty to bring it up...
π€π€π€
It's another funny thing...
I enlisted at 16, and was out of the country by 17,
I look around at the U.S. today...
I really don't think many could handle it...
π€π²π€
Anyways, Thanks again!
Awesome Week to You and Yours!

This is a most excellent idea you guys have come up with. GovCo has dropped the ball, just like the 14 vets that were killed in Afghanistan on a botched withdrawal. They don't want to spend the money on them, and now are even trying to take their arms away, and look at military now, they are shitcanning anyone who doesn't take the experiment. Doesn't matter if you have 30 years in, they will force you out which means no retirement. These people's lives means nothing to any of them. So this kind of action is totally necessary and an excellent start.
Dude, that was pitiful. Made me want to punch more politicians.
Pls if u come across this post help as much as possible you can. Nothing is small
So often we forgot the people that fought for our freedom and made the world a better place to live.
Why thank you!
ItΒ΄s kind of sad to see this constant repeating circle of disrespect for soldiers irrespective of their home country in long time peace periods (at least if there was no war threatening the home country).
Declaring war and winning wars is cheap in terms of public perceptions Vs cost in comparison to taking care of your people afterwards as there are barely any public perception bonus point to win for politicans after the dust has settled. Love your idea to create the token and try to help.
There is that disconnect, ya know? Militarized and civilized are not equal so reacclimating is difficult. Would like to find a way to help that too, though it is not on the list.
A wonderful idea as far too many that deserve the help are missing out.
100,000+ homeless vets in the US alone, add unemployed and medically suffering? It gets to 7 figures real quick.
Yeah it's truly sickening to that that these guys and girls literally worked their guts out and put their lives on the line and have been left in the dirt by the very people that they helped defend. And it was actually watching NCIS a few year ago that I became aware of how bad the situation really is over there for the vets.
