We see different types of algae from time to time but the same algae that I have seen is called Orange Pinwheel and it usually grows above ground. They grow freely in soft parts of the soil, especially when the rains are frequent, but I have seen them not grow very large.

An inch or two above the ground anyway I found them on the grass in a park this morning when I was out and about. At first I thought it was a flower but on closer inspection it turned out to be a fungal algae.
The tops are very flower-like and have a very nice rounded cut. The tops are about one to two inches long. They look great on green grass.
Have any of you seen Orange Pinwheel before? Please let me know through comments. This is the first time I have seen such beautiful algae. Anyway, how are the pictures? Please let me know through comments. I have tried to make them beautiful.
So friends, I am leaving here today. I hope everyone is well and healthy. May God bless you all.
