Neel Aparajita

A story of a flower that suddenly appeared, a fascinating moment in the morning

The light morning sun, a slight misty atmosphere around, and I was rushing to work like every day. I was walking with various thoughts in my head, the day work, responsibilities, and having reach on time. Just then group of small, white purple flowers caught my eye. My feet stopped in an instant.

I not only stopped, but I stared in fascination. The flowers were small, but incredibly beautiful. The petals were young white, like cotton washed in the morning. The light purple color in the middle, which gave the flower a new dimension. It felt like nature had painted these flowers with its own hands with a perfect brush.

First, I took out my mobile phone. I started taking pictures one after another. I am not professional photographer, but I love nature, and from this love, I sometimes take some pictures. Sometimes small things bring peace our minds. These flowers are just like that. Such a scene in the hustle and bustle busy city suddenly fills mind with peace.

I did not know the name this flower before. Later, I found out that it is a wild flower, whose scientific name is Asystasia gangetica or in Bengali, many call it Neel Lata or Neel Aparajita. Although it is more commonly seen in blue, colors with white and purple prints are also seen occasionally. It usually grows by itself on the side the road, in bushes. It grows without much care, but is no less beautiful in any way.

It seems that nature has a special grace towards this flower. No human gives it water, no fertilizer—yet it smiles. This sign natural beauty teaches us a lot. Just like our lives, where we have to find small joys.

Seeing the flowers, I suddenly realized how much we miss every day. Due to our busy schedule, we no longer get to see nature. But just by paying attention, we see such wonderful things that make our mind feel good.

For me photography is not just about taking pictures, but also about trying capture a moment. These flowers taught me new lesson—beauty is everywhere, you just have keep your eyes open. Every gift of nature teaches us live anew appreciate the depth momentary beauty.

From next day, I started paying more attention my surroundings while walking. Who knows where another gem is hidden! Maybe we lose it in a blink an eye.

Nowadays, in the age of technology, we scroll through pictures flowers. But when we actually see such flower, its beauty is deeply ingrained in our hearts. For me, this experience is not just a moment take picture, but peaceful connection with nature.

The last thing is one thing—try experience a little bit nature in your daily life. Stop and look at a tree while walking, listen to the song a bird, or be fascinated by the beauty flower you suddenly see. You will see, life will seem much easier and more beautiful.
