A wonderful moment with a flowering tree at the market

Yesterday afternoon, I went to a local market in Shah Alam, Selangor to buy some daily necessities. As usual, I thought I would hurry back after finishing work. But suddenly, I saw a wonderful flowering tree — as if nature had painted a wonderful work of art with its own hands! Seeing such beautiful scene, I stopped and took some pictures my phone, one which I am sharing with you today.

I did not know the name tree at the time but bright red petals and shiny black fruit-like parts captured my attention. The tree looked very much like an ornament — as if nature had arranged it for a special occasion. Each of its petals was deep red, with black seed-like parts sitting in the middle as if someone had arranged it on purpose. The combination of this red and black with the green leaves around it really created a beautiful color scheme.

I slowly started walking around the tree, to get a better look. In a short time, several people were attracted to the tree, like me. Some were taking pictures, some were making videos. Standing a little away from the hustle and bustle the market, everyone seemed to be immersed in the silent beauty nature for a few moments.

This experience reminded me that we often get busy with life that we don notice the small beauties around. However, this small tree proved that nature is all around us — we just need to look carefully.

After taking the picture of the flower, I did some research when I got home to find out its name. It is probably known as ‘Micania micrantha’ (Micky Mouse plant) or ‘Ochna kirkii’. This plant is commonly found in various countries of South Asia and is famous for its unique beauty. Many people plant it in their home gardens enhance its beauty. It has been given this funny name because the black seed-like parts in the middle its red petals look like Mickey Mouses ears.

Nowadays, when technology busyness are cutting our lives short, such a simple but unique sight can give us peace mind. I thought, why not share this experience on the blog, so that others are also inspired to turn their eyes to the beauty of nature.

That moment was truly special for me. The beauty of a small flowering plant taught me that loving nature means finding inner peace. If youre ever feeling down bored, go outside and spend some time with nature — maybe a flower, a tree, a scene will fill your mind.
