Good day my fellow sew mate, happy new week
I want to share with you all this beautiful aso asked and Kampala gini design.

My client wanted to mix aso oke with the Kampala design that's how I get to work.

I have 5yards of fabric
I folded it into two by the yard length and measured the gown length which is 60", I added 1.5" inches for emiring at the down and. Fold into two back, making it front and back part.

The body will be cut with the sleeves. That's the style
At the up edge I measured the shoulder which is 16" inches divided into 2 from there I measure the sleeve length which is 16" inches, so from the shoulder I measure 10"inches from the shoulder to get the armhole for the sleeve . Then I measure 12"inches for the round sleeve at where the sleeve length stop.

From the shoulder I measure the breasts point that's where I measure the burst, from the shoulder measure the half length and that's where I measure the wait, from the waist line I measured 9" inches to get the hip line and measure the hip measurement there.

All the body measurements is divided into 4
At the down part I measure 19"inches for the widness of the down.
So I merged all the measurements point together and curve it to the armhole line and to the sleeve.

The neck use 3inches for the widness and 7inches for the front neckline and make V shape, the back I make the length 1.5"inches and cut it out without opening the shoulder line .

Sewing part
I cut facing for the front and back neck to turn the neck in place of lining it.

Then the aso oke part, I have 3layers part of the aso oke so I started by placing it at the center but before placing I measure about 13" inches up and divided it into two to fit at the neck and the 13"inches stop at the V point.

I top sew it at the edge round.
Place the aso oke at the sleeve edge round the sleeve.

Then I turn the neck with the facing.

I proceed in joining the body with 2"inches seam allowance from the sleeve part down to the side, 17"inches before the length I stop the sewing to make slit at the both side.

Then I emir the down part with 1.5"inches and the slit side also.
