Hand-embroidered blouse (EN-ES)

Greetings, my dear friends of the needles. I hope you are all well, in good health and well being and that you can enjoy, to the fullest, the weekend that is already approaching.

Today I want to tell you that, finally, I have finished embroidering one of the white blouses that you ordered and that I showed you in this publication.

As I mentioned in my previous post, embroidering these blouses has been a challenge for me, because it was the first time I embroidered in a single tone and also because I had no idea how long it would take and, consequently, I could not calculate the time to finish it. Now, I am sure that each blouse will be embroidered in fifteen days, because this first one took me two weeks of daily embroidery with a lot of delicacy and attention so that the work would be impeccable.

Hoy quiero contarles que, finalmente, he terminado de bordar una de las blusas blancas que me encargaron y que les mostré en esta publicación, cuando comencé el bordado de uno de los lados de la primera blusa del encargo.

Como les comentaba en mi post anterior, bordar estas blusas ha sido todo un reto para mí, pues era la primera vez que bordaba en un solo tono y porque, además, no tenía idea del tiempo que tardaría y, en consecuencia, no podía calcular el tiempo para terminarla. Ahora, tengo la seguridad de que cada blusa la bordo en quince días, pues esta primera me tomó dos semanas de bordado diario con mucha delicadeza y atención para que el trabajo quedara impecable.

It has been a great experience for me, I put myself to the test and I succeeded, although, sometimes, when the thread got tangled, for example, I was worried that the embroidery would be badly finished, but no, I solved it and kept on stitching.

With each stitch, I could see how the design was taking shape and I liked what I was doing. To embroider this design of flowers, branches and leaves, I used three basic stitches: chain stitch, back stitch and filling stitch. This last stitch gives relief to the embroidery and makes it look very pretty.

Ha sido toda una experiencia para mí, me puse a prueba y lo logré, aunque, en ocasiones, cuando el hilo se me enredaba, por ejemplo, me preocupaba que el bordado quedara mal acabado, pero no, lo resolvía y seguía dando puntadas.

En cada puntada que daba, veía como iba tomando forma el diseño y me gustaba lo que iba haciendo. Para bordar este diseño de flores, ramas y hojas, usé en su mayoría tres puntos básicos: cadenetas, punto atrás y punto de relleno. Este último punto, le da relieve al bordado y lo hace ver muy bonito.

This work opened up the possibilities of taking on new challenges, like this one or of greater difficulty, and I feel confident to commit myself and approach them with confidence and dedication.

I am happy to have taken on this commitment and I feel satisfied because I loved the result.
