Some Italian bugs

It's our last day on the campsite in Tuscany, Italy. Tomorrow we'll be heading back home again.
I've took lots of photos in the pas weeks, but almost none with one of my favourite subjects; bugs.
So I took my macro gear today to shoot some...

The first one I found was a very special shield bug. At least, special for me because I only know the green and brown ones. This one was very bright red with black.
When I looked it up it was called Pyjama shield bug on Dutch, but in English it is Called the Italian shield bug. What a coincidence.

There were quite a lot of them and all on one specific plant.

I caught two of them mating. They are attached with their bodies when having intercourse.

Another 'new' bug for me was this damselfly. We have a lot of them too, but this one has very strangely shaped wings.

They were quite active too. It took me a while to take a closeup of one.

Another active insect was this black bee. These bees are much bigger than the bees I know. It's body is black and it's wings have a nice shiny blueish.
This one only sat stil for a fraction of a second before hopping to the next flower.
But patience is rewarded; I finally was able to capture it on film 😊

I hope you like my shots!

the plant that the Pyama wants is sitting on is Daucus carota / Wilde peen / wild carrot / Queen Anne's lace .

we do have them here in Holland too ,

they often sit on Apiaceae or Umbelliferae flowers

I had never seen that kind of bee. Isn't it a fly in disguise?
