Rock Seeds [EN/PT]

Yesterday was the last day of the 2026 edition of the Festival de Bandas Novas, and as always, it was a lot of fun. There were many great bands, perhaps not as new as the name of the event suggests, but still with a great intention shared by everyone there: to make sure this underground scene never dies. The Festival de Bandas Novas is truly something very special for this crowd here in my city.

Sometimes I find myself thinking: how do we keep this from dying out? It is our generation that loves this, that made it happen, but how can we make sure it stays alive? Well, I believe it is about planting the seeds, and I am doing my part by taking my son to experience this scene, to see how important it is within this community and, of course, giving him some memorable experiences along the way.

This edition really has a special feeling to it because it was the first time my son actually went with his friends. Last year he went with me, just like in the years before that, but this time he wanted to go, he invited me to come along, and he was really looking forward to the day. It is also special because it was the first time he and I joined the mosh pit together. With his broken glasses, he is going to carry this story with him for the rest of his life, and how could that not be something special? May this event continue for generations to come.

E ontem foi o último dia da edição de 2026 do Festival de Bandas Novas e, como sempre, foi muito divertido. Muitas bandas boas, talvez não tão novas quanto o nome do evento sugere, mas ainda assim com uma grande intenção envolvida por todos ali presentes: fazer com que esse cenário underground nunca morra. O Festival de Bandas Novas é realmente algo muito especial para essa galera aqui da minha cidade.

Às vezes fico pensando: como não deixar isso acabar? É a nossa geração que gosta disso, que fez isso acontecer, mas como garantir que as coisas ainda permaneçam vivas? Bem, acredito que é plantando as sementes, e a minha parte eu estou fazendo, levando meu filho para conhecer esse cenário, para ver como isso é importante dentro dessa cena e, claro, trazendo para ele experiências marcantes.

Essa edição tem mesmo um gosto especial, pois foi a primeira de fato que meu filho foi com os amigos. No ano passado ele foi comigo, assim como nos anos anteriores, mas dessa vez ele quis ir, me chamou para ir e estava ansioso para o dia chegar. É marcante também porque foi pela primeira vez que eu e ele entramos juntos na roda punk. Ele, com seu óculos quebrado, vai levar essa história pela vida, e como dizer que isso não tem um significado especial? Que esse evento se perpetue.
