How Important is HIVE For You? .:. Hive Humpday Hangout Ep.30 (Wednesday, October 16th, 4 PM UTC)
Okay, guys and girls... The #HHHLive show is back and we will have a new one tomorrow (in less than 24 hours of you reading this post) after a one-month break! The last one we had was the week after the #HiveFest, and after that, things got complicated for me as I was unable to run the show... We had a couple of "unofficial hangouts", but we are back with the "standard" format tomorrow... What does that even mean? Well, interaction with the audience of course, as we have a great topic for the show!

Inspiration and idea for this topic came from the frustration feeling that I had read one specific post on HIVE a few days ago... You know that this show runs live, in the Ecency Discord on Wednesdays, but even before this show existed, there was another one, run by @incublus, which took place every Friday... It was a show about ordinary, everyday things, with topics, like movies, music, traveling, etc. Unfortunately, the show is currently on a break as the host of the show (@incublus), doesn't have access to Discord, as Turkiye decided to ban Discord! He wrote about that in his post, 3 days ago...
We saw similar things happening in some other countries which banned Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Telegram, etc., but those who are living in "more developed countries" would point fingers that it happens in "third-world" countries... Turkey isn't a country like that and we saw these things happened in some "developed countries" too! I have to mention the saying:
First they came for the socialists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a socialist.
Then they came for the trade unionists, and I did not speak out—because I was not a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—because I was not a Jew.
Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

All that made me think about how the whole "freedoms thing" is standing on very shaky legs, especially if we leave it to someone else to "take care of"... Because of all that, we have to be proactive, and seek better solutions, trying to become independent (unfortunately, in recent years we became dependant of so many things), and to take our freedom and choice back to our yard!
That's where all this came to make sense! That's why it's important to nurture cryptocurrencies, to build and embrace fair play and equal rights for everyone, without looking at borders, race, color... That's where HIVE has its place! Where you can say what you want to say, where you can always spin another frontend that would pull out the data from the blockchain and serve it to the people from "banned countries"! That's where we can stay resilient, that's where we should be the honeybadger of crypto, that doesn't give an f* about crooked politicians and broken banking system...
It is impossible to win a rigged game, but it is possible to run ANOTHER game! Look what happened to Bitcoin... It was ignored for so many years, it had all the possible negative brainwashing in mainstream media, but in the end, it is getting adopted... It was too good to be ignored and too resilient to be destroyed! We have a chance, but we have to embrace it and be pioneers who will lead the way... Show the REAL values of all this, show the practical values! It is important to spread the word and YOUR part is important!
Sorry for this long preamble, but I get too frustrated thinking about the obstacles of bureaucracy and rigged games... So, the topic for today is to think about what Is HIVE for you. Did HIVE change your way of living? Did it change your life? Did it change your views of life? How does it help you in everyday living? What benefits did you get from the moment when you began using it?
As the #HHHLive is an interactive show, if you would like to share your experience, I would like to invite you to the show to share it with other participants! It could be inspiring for others to hear your story, and it could help others to understand the real value of HIVE! It is not all about the price, it is not all about ripping the monetary rewards, it is much more... And as soon as people realize it, it could be adopted faster, and it could help more people in different ways!

It certainly seems most division is caused by governments to turn people against each other. If there was any good reason to get out of fiat, it would be to defund the central banking war machine.
Firstly, the meme is funny, but I see many people who were called out as conspiracy theorists from the past, being very much right today... 🙂
Secondly, it is a "war machine" that divides people instead of unite... This is again a big irony, thinking how they were accusing of terrorists using BTC to fund their organizations and attacks... While on the other side, wars are funded by tax payer's money, big corporations, and banks...

I knew the Martin Niemöller‘s quote and I feel it’s happening again right now, sadly. Governments work to separate us into multiple groups fighting against each other. The only solution is to unite and resist. But the game is always rigged. Hive too, that’s my feeling and I hope I’m wrong. Tomorrow I’ll join the show to try to change my negative mood. 🙂

Gosh, honestly I don't know where I'd be without hive. I was retrenched in 2023 nd it's definitely kept the proverbial lights going in my life. It's been a godsend. I am still waiting for government and private insurance to pay out over a year later and I've had to scrape by and rely on miracles! I'm very grateful!
Welcome to the club of Hive-addicted people! 😃 I think that HIVE helped many, especially during the lockdowns, but also those living in countries with hyperinflation!

It's an interesting topic. I don't mix Hive with my real life too much so it hasn't impacted me as much but it's kind of the only social media that I am actively using. I like how it is here even if it's not perfect.
Well, you are spending your time on HIVE to create posts and to engage... If you wasn't doing that, you would do something else... So, in some way, it did change your life... Maybe it didn't make a financial impact (yet), but it did change a thing or two... :)
The way government will function irrespective of system is that it'll continue to stifle people. If crypto was never underrated we might not have gotten here, but there's nothing to be done, the technology cannot be killed. Just like other countries, Nigeria banned crypto trading at one point, they even arrested Binance officials, but it's mostly a lost war
I don't know how they are not tired of trying that... They tried to do it with so many technology advances in the past, and they are still trying... It can't be stopped... Because of this...

Hive has done so many good things for me, firstly I've gained insight and it has improved my writing skills, secondly I've made friends from all over the world, thirdly I've gained a passive source of income through Hive and the list is endless.
I wouldn't be available at the time of the show, but I hope to listen to the recap.

I'm fine. But answer on your question has 2 parts. First is public part, and here I can tell that besides being busy at work where I need to finish next one project till next Wednesday I faced out couple weeks ago that discord was blocked buy my provider couple weeks ago. It also gives some troubles with visiting #HHLive show. An here we coming to a more private part of my answer about what I'll be ready to tell more privately, or maybe at afterparty section of #HHLive Anyway I'll try to join asap! ;)
