Before I dive into what happened in the last show, just a few important things to cover... Next week, I'm going on vacation, and I will spend a big part of it on the road, without a good Internet connection, which means that I will be unable to do the #HHHLive show... That means, that we will take a summer break and the next show will be somewhere closer to the end of August... I will keep you informed and, as usual, I will create an announcement post on time! This will be the first planned break, so don't worry, we will be back with the show with new, refreshed energy! 😃
Secondly, some major events are happening in my life which I wrote and talked about recently, and that's an additional reason why I'm a bit less active on HIVE, and engaging less with you guys... Unfortunately, going on a road trip will not help with this, but at the end of this year, some things should get clearer and my full focus will come back to HIVE!
Now, let's talk about the fantastic #HHHLive show that we had on Wednesday, July 24! This was one of the longest shows ever, as we had a 2-hour fun in the Ecency Discord! As it was a special edition show, we were jumping from one topic to another and had a bit of everything for everyone who was participating... We had a very nice turnout, as we had 17 participants in total and everyone was engaging or in voice, or the Discord chat channel!
Like any other huge event, we had an opening act before the main event began! 😂 While, I was preparing my stuff for the show, @femisapiens, and @wanderingmoon had a short conversation about PIMP Discord show that happens every Wednesday a few hours before the #HHHLive show, but in PIMP Discord... It is another HIVE-related gathering, organized by @enginewitty and if you have some spare time, you can pay a visit as they discuss some great topics, too! It looks like this week, they were talking about the HUSTLER token, which is run by another great Hivian, @thelogicaldude...
After the short opening act 😃, we began the show with a question by @femisapiens, where he was asking a question about short-form content platforms on HIVE... As we had an Ecency Waves expert in the audience, @melinda010100 jumped in the microphone with an explanation of how to set up the Ecency app on a mobile phone, and how to wave! Along with Ecency Waves, there are two other major platforms for short content, Leothreads and Dbuzz!
As we were in the Ecency niche, @duskobgd asked about the possibility of posting more than 1 3Speak video inside 1 post, after a few consultations with everyone in the show, we got the answer that it's not! But, if you want, you can post more than one YT video, for sure (I'm not encouraging usage of centralized platforms 😃)...
Slowly, we moved to a different topic, and it was my favorite one, the HivePower! @relf87 was curious to know how much of our stake was bought HIVE, and how much was earned through author and curation rewards... Of course, that simple question led to some other, much deeper questions, like, is it important how you got your HIVE, or it is important how you USE IT? @duskobgd mentioned how there are 2 types of people on HIVE, one that power down and spend all their earned HIVE, and the other, which accumulates HivePower... There is also a third type that does both, spending some, but also accumulating HivePower to support others!
As we were talking about HivePower, I had to mention the latest post by @incublus, where he explained what it is, and how it works and shared some guidelines about it... You can find his post here... I forgot to mention, that one of our first shows was also about Hive Power and its importance! You can check out that recording here https://ecency.com/hive-125125/@ph1102/aabffnzn!
Also, @femisapiens had an interesting idea about rewarding Discord contributors with HIVE, for doing their work on that platform... Well, we are doing something similar here as every #HHHLive participant is rewarded with a small amount of LEN tokens, and those who engage in voice, with Ecency POINTS... 😃
The topic that was impossible to avoid was, of course, about Splinterlands! 😃 The truth is that we already had a talk about the latest DHF proposal in last week's show (and after-show), so we were talking about possible tweaks in the game that could help with tokenomics, and with better player experience!
The HiveFest9 Split, Croatia event is closer and closer, and @femisapiens wanted to hear some previous experiences about the biggest HIVE (offline) event, so I shared mine... I had to mention other two great events that I attended, the #HiveBeecon and @buzzparty that were held in Hamburg this year! All three events were dear to me and honestly, I can't pick one that liked the most! If you have a chance to visit any Hive meetup, I would strongly recommend you to do so! You can meet some great people there and make even stronger bonds with your Hive friends!
I remember that I missed some Hive events as I wasn't informed about them, so for your information, the next 3 events that I plan to visit are:
See you there!
In the second hour of the show, we went back to blockchain games, as @jim-crypto shared his gameplay video from @crypto-shots, one of the games that I heard of for the first time in HiveFest, Amsterdam! It was great to hear that the game is still thriving and doing great!
Somehow, we went into a discussion about game tokenomics in general, how it should be, giving useful tokens to the community, creating sinks and token burns... This again, led to a talk about Splinterlands and what will happen when SPS tokens reach their supply limit! @seckorama asked about a potential @Liotes game, which would be great to see, but I informed him that we will go in another direction, maybe gamifying the Hive experience even more... 🤔
At the end of the show, @jim-crypto mentioned liquidity pools, so we had a great talk about them (maybe we could create a show about them? I remember that I mentioned LPs a lot of times, but we didn't do a dedicated show)... How important is it to know how they work, the pros and cons, slippage, impermanent loss, and the best way to add liquidity to pools... Also, it's always crucial to do the research about every token, its inflation, how new tokens are created, etc... All that can save you a lot of money, sometimes, a lot more than you can "earn" chasing big APR rewards...
We had 17 people (including myself) in the show and I would like to thank everyone for participating in the show! Thanks, @femisapiens, @bulkathos, @chinay04, @chireerocks, @duskobgd, @felixxx, @foxkoit, @jim-crypto, @melinda010100, @mypathtofire, @palomap3, @relf87, @sacra97, @seckorama, @travoved, and @wanderingmoon!
Thank you, guys and girls, once again! As a sign of appreciation, I will send some LEN tokens to all participants of the live show! You can pair them with LENM tokens, add liquidity to the diesel pool, and earn rewards! If you want to learn more about the project behind it, check out the @liotes account or visit the Liotes website... Of course, if you are not interested in it, you can sell tokens on the Hive-Engine market...
To encourage more people to come on the mic, I have sent an additional 100 Ecency POINTS to people who shared their thoughts in voice with us (this time we had 5 participants in voice)! So POINTS are going to @femisapiens, @wanderingmoon, @melinda010100, @jim-crypto, and @travoved!
Special thanks goes to @melinda010100 and @good-karma for providing the space for the event!
Thank you for your time,

Good stuff over there, Jim had mentioned there was a show and I will attend after your break, thanks for the plug! As for the Hive Power denizens, I fall in the 3rd category so have never had a major stake, just enough to support and help where we can.
Thanks, man! I know that Jim is a regular in the PIMP show... :) I was attending it before, but lately, it clashed with my other stuff... Will see how things go after the vacation...
You are welcome for the plug! It is all about collaborating and helping each other, keeping Hivians entertained and motivated to push through hard times... 🙂
Cheers!
Wow what a great show with different topics. #HHH is the leading podcast or live show that I've been checking every now and then. We have started the same format in our group but it is multi stream via web2. We are using Tagalog our native language in the Philippines. @ph1102 thank you for doing this it inspires me and I know it is an inspiration for a lot of Hvians!
Thanks for your kind words! Great to hear that you guys started your own show in your language! It is powerful when you create a group of people that think in the same way...
Good luck with your show! If you need some help let me know!
Thank you!
Looks like more people actually attended the show this time around..
Goodluck with your trip, I think vacations are actually important, and although it might be crappy without good Internet sometimes. I experienced it in the past and it can be horrible.
Tbh, I was surprised that many people attended as we are in the mid-summer and HIVE is half-empty... So, happy to see so many peeps!
Thanks! I will have some INternet, but not good enough to run the show... So, it's better to skip it and not stress about interruptions because of bad connection... :)
It was a great show! I love it when I get to make new friends!
That's the best part of hangouts like this... Meeting new people, and learning more about them! 😃
Thanks for participating and helping others by sharing your knowledge! 🙏
Thanks for the LEN, but it is not necessary to send me Points. It's silly to send them back and forth.

You could have many stories to post on HIVE after one month journey 😉
THere will be plenty of material, for sure... What I will have to find is time to publish all that, as I have some photos and ideas from the last year's vacation... 😂
It sounds like quite a discussion. It's too bad there wasn't a replay this time around but the recap is always nice. I think there is a lot Splinterlands can do to improve things and I think the one click rental system helps it. I do think that the recent changes haven't been targetted towards new players or retaining them before that.
Many Hivians (including myself) are biased regarding Splinterlands, as we aren't playing the game for the same time, we don't have the same goals, and as the game is huge, not everyone is playing the game in the same way... That's why it's hard to be objective and reasonable...
Enjoying the @ecency shows, when I can attend!
