You're not the worst

Be thankful for what you have. You have no idea how many people would love to have what you've got.

A story is told of a man who was tired of life. Looking at his possessions only reminded him of how wrecked he was. He could swear he was the poorest man. Exhausted, he decided he was going to end his life. He rose and went to the place where he wanted to kill himself. As he tied the rope on a tree, someone who saw him said aloud, "Please, when you're dead, I'd love to own your pants."

The man looked at the other man who had begged for his pants and realized one thing. He was way better off than him, but on his face he still held that smile that says "everything is fine." He untied the rope and decided he was going to live, grateful for that which he has. He understood better that he wasn't the worst. There are many people who would love to have what he got.

Such is life. We never know how blessed we are until we come across people who desire to be in our position. We are not the worst, yet we fill our hearts with worries, while people we are better than are appreciative of the little they have. If we are not grateful for the little we have every day, how can we be grateful when God increases our earnings? Be appreciative. Be thankful for what you have. You have no idea how many people pray and wish to be where you are. You're not the worst. You never will be. Be grateful.
