LOH#232: A Little Self Care Goes a Long Way
Hello dear ladies, how's everything going on? This is my second time posting here in Ladies of Hive Community. Today's blog I would like to join the contest #232.
Being a full-time housewife is not easy, it means sacrificing personal time and dreams for the sake of the family. As a mother my duties is non-stop, yet I stand up every day with grace, love and resilience. Despite of how busy I am, no fixed schedules, no official breaks or holidays I am finding a moment of peace, a simple break like having a warm cup of coffee. It is not much of others but to me it's a chance to breathe and a reminder that I'm allowed to pause. This is the time I'm going to recharge even a little before diving in other responsibilities of being a mom.
Sometimes, during the evening before I sleep, I take a few moments to browse through social media. It's my way catching updates and reading the latest news. After a long busy day filled with household chores and caring for my family this simple routine makes me unwind. On some nights when the kids are fast asleep, I even manage to watch a movie.
The latest movie I watch is a Chinese movie title Princess in His Heart, it is a love story. I watched it in YouTube the other day and I took screenshot. Watching movie helps me relax and momentarily escape from the stress and exhaustion.
Today I give myself a little treat. I had my nails clean up by a manicurist. It may seem a small thing, but it felt so refreshing and well deserved. As the manicurist carefully worked on my nails, I felt relaxed, like I was letting go my stress that had built up over the week. Clean and fresh nails don't change everything, but they surely lifted my mood and gave me a little confidence.
This small act self-care may not seem grand, but it really means to me. Being a mother is a beautiful journey, filled with love and unforgettable moments but also overwhelming and tiring. I hold on to these quiet routines to lighten the weight. Even if it is just sipping a coffee in silence or smiling in a funny screen these little things make a big difference. Even in the middle of a busy life as a mom and housewife I still have the right to enjoy a little time for myself.

Definitely we have to recharge to gain power to continue what we are doing, being a mother I sacrifice a lot but a fulfilling journey seeing my kids grow with me. I want to get a job but inside my heart I won't other will take care of my children. Someday, somehow they will grow and that time it could be my moment to work again and give time to myself.

I can’t even imagine how tired you’d be most of the time as a full time housewife taking care of everyone at home and managing the home as well. So,giving yourself that self care treat is so important. I’m glad you do that. I like the color you chose for your nails as well.
