I Thought Growth Meant Looks, I Was Wrong

It's not every time we get to see that we are growing, especially when we don't even keep record of the little improvements. Someone said in a book that if we all sit down quietly to intentionally find something interesting in our daily lives, we'd be more than grateful for growth.

Growth happens every single day but we fail to see most of it, mainly because we don't bother about how exactly we are growing so we don't take action for our growth intentionally. I'm guilty of this so much that when I realize it, I couldn't keep procrastinating when to take action for me.

So I'm not writing from a place of no experience, I have lived all my life not keeping record or memories that makes me realize how much I'm growing. The only time I see growth or remember that I am growing is when I see an old picture of me and I compare to see few changes in looks.

Looks?! Not how my mindset has changed in those years, not how I take action differently and not any pattern studied to make even better changes, I just focus on the little and almost insignificant changes in my looks and encourage myself for growing when I haven't even started.

Sometime in last month, I had the moment that I first realized I was growing and it's not when I saw an old photo, not when I remember how I looked. It was when I looked at the daily activities I was getting done easily than when I started. It's when I began to notice my change of thoughts.

I saw growth in understanding the old beliefs I've carried all my life and the new beliefs I need to hold on to for a better becoming. I saw growth in how I felt free discussing about my flaws without judging myself, I also saw growth in how easily I feel joy even on days I have it rough or difficult.

Growth is beautiful and we experience growth in every aspect of our life. Choosing to intentionally adopt the positive growth in all aspects of my life, is my priority now. I want to have a lot of cool and great things to say about my life in years to come, I have to start doing cool and great things now to achieve that and it starts now, no waiting.
