STILL A DREAM #272

I was very young when I first dreamt about starting my own business. It was like every other child's dream of having money when we grow up, but mine was a bit more. I already had the name of my company from age 12 or 13, I knew what I wanted the business to be all about, it wasn’t as clear as it is now, but it was there. I have carried this dream in my heart for nearly 2 decades now and I feel I am closer to achieving it than I have ever been before. Come to think about it, all my career decisions, important decisions, learned skills and my current job role has been in line with that childhood dream.

I have always wanted to own an advertising agency. As at the time I had this dream I never even knew what an advertising agency was all about. I only knew the end goal. I thought about the things my mates wanted to be, and I said to myself, how I wish I could own a company that connects all their companies together. Slowly this dream began to build in my heart and I feel I am closer to achieving it than I have ever been. I just need to understand certain marketing secrets in different industries.

I do not just wish to advertise to the public, I want to create a platform where businesses can do business with other businesses especially small businesses. The only thing that has held me back is the ability to fully finance the knowledge required to make it work. I need to sit under great marketing and business coaches, learn their strategies, train individuals to work with me, and we begin to reach out to small businesses to implement those strategies, help them grow, and help them connect with other businesses.
