MEMORIES BRINGS BACK MEMORIES #278

If there is one thing the world is failing at, it is telling certain truths about history. The only thing the news media is good at is spreading bad news, they are hardly good at spreading good news and this in turn makes our history full of bad news. We repeat this cycle forgetting the power of memories. The way memories work is that it has a way of physically affecting not just our mood, but our faith, and our beliefs. If memories can have this power, why are we not utilizing it? The truth is that a lot of us, in fact 95% of us do not know our roots or have good historical knowledge of our roots.

If we have good knowledge of our roots, I mean the good ones, we will be able to share a common joy around our society, a lot of enmity we have will not be there as we will all be bonded by the common goals our ancestors shared. If there is one thing the current history has done, it is create enmity out of misinformations and speculations giving selfish people the opportunity to wage wars that should have never excited. I understand that the past can be tricky, but if we are exposed to the great memories of the past, it will help shape the future in a better light.

Sometimes I wonder why countries like China and The United States do not just seem to love each other. They are always at each other's throats, and every president that comes seem to continue the legacy of hate, if only there was a legacy of love that started from the beginning of this feud between them. If only that memory of joy was what was remembered at the beginning of their quarrel, I am sure it would not have escalated to what it is today, a lot of lives would have been spared and there would have been peace and joy. If only we had more happy memories to share instead of hate.
