A PERFECT DAY #279

A perfect afternoon for me will have to begin with a great morning. To be honest I have always looked forward to a perfect morning which would begin with waking up next to the love of my life. I sound like a lover boy writing this post right now, but it is something I really look forward to, perhaps even still wishing for. But regardless of what may come, waking up next to her already makes my day start great. Knowing the next thing I will be saying from her will make me look like a child day dreaming I would say it still.

That morning will have to be all about preparing to see my family (parent and siblings) alongside my partner. I would not have to think about work that day because there I would probably be on leave or something. A three hour trip in the morning to go see my family with my partner would make that day memorable. I can just imagine everything we will be doing on the trip, taking photos, cracking jokes and listening to her sing with her terrible voice. I would like to imagine a surprise visit, which means we will need to visit the mall immediately when we reach the city my parents live in.

On reaching the mall, we get a lot of groceries and household items alongside some few toys for the little ones. After that, we will give my parents the surprise of their lives with a knock at the gate. I would like that day to be a Sunday because it is the only day the family is together and taking advantage of the day, they would have already been back from church. I can imagine the shock on their faces seeing us and my mum deciding to favour a conversation with my partner and sister rather than her own son. It will be a bit hurtful, but I will be using those opportunities to bond with my dad and brothers. Either way, it’s only an imagination, but having the opportunity to create this moment with my family will be a dream come true.
