After Holiday's Picnic.

Good day ladies, welcome to my blog.

It's important for us to note that while we are on holiday, enjoying the season with our loved families and friends, some people have to be at work either to secure us or to provide help and support for the sick or the elderly.

We call such people essential workers right? I have never had to work on holidays of course due to the nature of my job. If my job demands that I should be on duty on holidays, I would gladly do it for the love of my job and because of. the pay, I hear the pay for holidays are usually higher than every other days in healthcare in some countries

With that being said, I have watched my dad work on holidays when he was alive because he was a law enforcement officer. Oh yes! My old man was not just a police man but a dedicated one at that. Though he died while still in service, he would always make sure to be present in office when he was supposed to even if he did not have to.

Here are two things we do for him as a family during his time with us: to have a normally special celebration meal for him to take to work for lunch or we have one of us his children deliver the meal to him and sit with him while he enjoys his meal during his break. We also make sure to plan each holiday picnic together putting his schedule into consideration.

With this method we were able to have an after holiday celebration every year he had to work on on holidays and we enjoyed every bit of it. What is an outing without Daddy? Daddy would spend for you without looking back while mummy would always want to be accounted for every penny so we never have had an outing or picnic without my dad when I was a child.

Thank God for those good old memories, I never thought he was going to pass away that early but I am happy he left me with good things to remember him by.
