Hello everyone, especially the Ladies of the Hive community!
Have a wonderful and blissful day to all!!
As I came across this week's challenge and read it, I became interested in joining and would love to answer the first question that follows.
"Are you one of those who prefers a house with or without garden? Do you like plants? What do you do to take care of them?
And here's my honest answer. I definitely love a house with a garden. No matter how small my house is and no matter how small the space I have for some plants, I'll do everything to utilize that small space and make a garden.
And it did happen. Luckily, my family loves plants too, be it ornamental plants or some vegetable plants, they all love them as much as I do. So I can always have their full support in gardening.
As I mentioned earlier, we have limited space for plants at home, but we managed to utilize it by planting them in pots. My husband once made me a wooden garden holder for the potted plants. He even recycled some broken water gallon bottles for some plant pots. That was during the pandemic that we were able to plant some vegetables like lettuce, eggplants, tomatoes, bell peppers, and more.
And we were happy to share them with our neighbors. What did we do to take care of them?
Well, we used homemade organic fertilizers aside from watering them every now and then. I used to keep some eggshells, pound them, and not throw away the fruit and vegetable peels and rinds. Instead, I cut them into small pieces and let them dry, and then mixed them with the pounded eggshells and rice hulls. These were my personalized organic fertilizers, which provide nutrients to our plants. Another thing is the water from the washed rice, I use to spray it on the plants. And it helps them to be healthy, and it helps our orchids and roses to produce a bunch of beautiful and healthy flowers. I used to talk to my plants, too.
Having a garden at home really makes me feel mentally happy. Seeing beautiful flowers and some vegetable and fruit-bearing plants in our own yard can really lighten and brighten my mood. And I believe that having a garden at home can have a therapeutic effect on our mind and body, and can connect us to nature, no matter how small it is, as long as we enjoy and love it. We also need to relax our body and soul, and one thing that will surely help us achieve this is having a garden at home.
As for now, we are planning to plant other vegetables and fruits like parsley and cherry tomatoes. Maybe we can start this by the end of this week, because I already have some seeds that my daughter, @tegoshei, bought for me a few days ago when she went on some errands with her father.
And this time is a good time for planting because it's the rainy season here now. I'm just waiting for the garden soil that we ordered from our neighbor's brother. And I'll be glad to share and post it here on Hive if I can start planting them again soon. I'm so thankful for this opportunity to share my own opinion in your awesome community, "Ladies of Hive."
I'll end my post here and see you around.
Thank you for stopping by and for taking the time to read my post.
God bless...ššā¤
Nice @arashi0416, I am with you: I also always would prefer a house with garden, especially also because my parents are farmers. But currently I cannot have a garden because I am living in the house of my employer in Hong Kong.
Your plants are very beautiful!

My home's garden is a delight but far from my vision of paradise yet. I've added some veggies since last year, what's a garden without a few vegetables?
Thanks for sharing @arashi0416
