An African Mother-in-law In Embrayo - 284

Even if I'm not a biological mother yet but with the motherly responsibilities I have shouldered since the absence of my mum, I knew I would be such a loving and caring mum when I actually become one someday and with the way I feel so concerned about my inherited children, pre-thinking of what kind of a mother-in-law I would become in the future is actually something worth pondering over.

Over the years, I've come to see people or let me say wives complaining bitterly about their mother-in-laws in such a way that some might even agree to trade their mother-in-law if they are opportune to.

Some single ladies have been seen praying against meeting their mother-in-laws at home (i.e she should be dead before the son gets to meet with her as a future wife) which is ridiculous because somehow someday, she would also become a mother of a son of which a lady somewhere would also return same energy, praying for her demise before the son meets her.

Likewise I've seen good mother-in-laws that are always a point of prayer of single ladies to have when they want to get married.
This is the kind of mother-in-law I want to become and no matter how much I love and feel so concerned about my son, I don't want to be an intruder in his home or be a cause of why the wife have to become uneasy whenever my name is mentioned.

I would want my son's wife to love him genuinely that I have to worry less about him cos truthfully when you consider thinking in the perspective of all these overprotective mother-in-laws that turns out bad, they were just trying to look out for their sons but went overboard in the cause. They end up finding it hard to realize that no matter how mini-god they are, he now has a new family that would also care and look out for him.

I know for sure that I won't be a bad mother-in-law but I will be one that my son's wife would be proud to call her mum as well, and the one she can always speak to and open up as a confidant and best friend.
