Hey Hive fam
So here we are, Day 3 already! Am today I wanna talk about something I didn’t really expect to fall in love with when I started learning about Korea its nature. Like wow Korea’s natural beauty is on another level
To be honest, when people talk about Korea, it’s always Seoul, K-pop, fashion, or food. But when you step outside the cities, you start to see a totally different side. Korea is actually 70% mountains crazy right? That means there’s always a peak nearby, and Koreans love hiking. It’s not just an activity for them, it’s kind of like a lifestyle.
One of the most famous places is Seoraksan National Park. I looked up photos and honestly, it looks like a fairytale rocky peaks, autumn colors, temples hidden in forests. People go there all year round, even during snow. Hiking there is like therapy for some.
Then there’s Jeju Island, which is just beautiful. Volcanic landscape, waterfalls, beaches, and these super cute stone statues called dol hareubang. It’s like Korea’s Hawaii in a way. Locals go there for holidays, and tourists love it too.
I also learned that Korea has four real seasons, so nature changes a lot. Spring is cherry blossoms everywhere , summer is green and humid, fall is all fiery orange and red, and winter brings snow, especially in the north. Each season feels like a different world.
What I really respect is how Koreans connect with nature. They take care of their parks, go hiking with friends or elders, and find peace in the mountains. Even in big cities like Seoul, you’ll find riverside parks, little mountains, and trails just waiting.
And oh! They also have beautiful coastlines Busan has beaches where people surf and relax. You can enjoy seafood, watch the sunrise over the ocean, or just walk along the shore feeling the breeze.
Nature isn’t just background here it’s part of the culture, the healing, the balance. It helps explain why so many Koreans still follow traditional wellness like forest walks or temple stays.
Anyway, I didn’t expect to admire Korea for its nature so much. Now I kind of wanna go hiking there.
