In the Spotlight
I've written quite a bit about this topic this week and still... my understanding of it needed some "updating" every single day, lol.
Yesterday I thought I had this figured out and that after LEO inflation will be turned off on Hive-Engine next week, rewards will continue on Hive-Engine as is, only not from inflation, but from buybacks. This one seems clear.
On the Arbitrum side, where LEO will be moving natively (the HE token will be regarded as a wrapped version), my latest understanding (proven to be wrong, apparently) was that staking and rewards will start in 90 days.
If I read the announcement correctly (finally?), staking on Arbitrum as sLEO and USDC staking rewards will start with the LEO 2.0 new tokenomics in 5 days and change, and also be paid from buybacks (so there won't be inflation on Arbitrum either, for anyone thinking inflation moves from Hive-Engine to Arbitrum). What starts in 90 days is the distribution of rewards from Protocol-Owned-Liquidity, which will be on top of the staking USDC rewards, from what I can understand. But I invite you to read the announcement yourselves.
The plan is to have a max of roughly 30m LEO tokens, all circulating at the time of LEO 2.0 launch, which will become slowly deflationary due to burning fees taken for bridging LEO between various ecosystems. The 30m LEO will be found natively on Arbitrum, and in their wrapped form on Hive-Engine, Polygon, and BSC. I don't see anything about LEO on Ethereum (wLEO) in the announcement, by the way.
The announcement is much more detailed, describing the various moving parts, which I am not going to do here, so if you are interested, do read it.

@jongolson also wrote a newbie-friendly guide on how to move SWAP.LTC from Hive-Engine to LeoDex (technically, to a wallet supported by LeoDex, like Keystore). The reverse operation is possible too, by the way, using the same process.
Marketing / Awareness / Branding / Meetings
Do you remember to vote for Hive projects every week on TheDappList? Or you can vote on all of them at once, if that's what you prefer.
This week is VSC's turn to be highlighted by @coldbeetrootsoup.
This is a monthly event in Cuba that aims to connect entrepreneurs with each other. To this event was @manuphotos invited and, as a representative of Hive, made some interesting connections with other businesses. He thinks this is an event worth participating in the future as well. Here are his impressions.
Not many YT/X/IG content creators are monetized. However, they may earn Hive rewards, if they promote Hive in the description of their videos and post a link to their video in the snaps of the HivePosh community.
Details about HivePosh and tips on how to promote Hive and how to optimize their videos have been shared here.
@stuffings, a chess international master, who had the chance to play against Magnus Carlsen in a tournament. He's also a product designer and a community lover, we find from his intro post. At least for the latter two he should feel very well on Hive. Not sure he would find any match to his skill as a chess player, but who knows? Maybe in a style he doesn't practice (like rapid chess if he prefers classic).
Governance / Development / Dapps / Education
They came out with a joint proposal where it seems the centerpiece for the next year may be a new customizable UI/blog system (open-source, unlike PeakD). But previous projects are still on their radar, as well as a project about user stats (a HiveStats or better?).
There have been a few attempts to create blogging platforms based on Hive in the past. One of them is provided by @engrave, but I think they offer a few models of websites with easy setup, whereas Peak Open from my understanding will make a highly customizable, open-source platform, which could be set up on a separate domain and customized for specific needs of a community or a business, while still being on Hive.
Let's see where this leads to, provided they get the funding.
@ura-soul is pushing development on the Ureka Social Hive front end. Here's one of the latest updates.
Michael created a central place where all his Hive tools can be found with a web interface. He calls it Project Builder.
The author (you've met him last week) and collaborators called them Hive components. But maybe people would be more used to the term "widgets"? Either way, check them out...
PeakD published a getting started post for their new editor. To me, it seemed it wasn't necessary, even if I haven't used one quite like that. But it still had (has?) some small bugs to be fixed. They say it is still in development too.

Acid explains Holozing delays and what comes next. Seems like we are getting ready for vial opening soon, and adjusting collection rewards in consequence. Marketplace will open too, with short private testing and then a wider testing for vial holders coming, while progress is made toward beta.
Exciting times ahead! 😀
If you missed it, Ahonex.com is a new bidding website for Splinterlands cards.
They now have 3 new features:
I'll make a short list:
New Crownrend? What's that? It's this. Practically, a different game, I'd say, from the description. Sounds... better. But let's see it in action first.
Check out what I found out from Team Mithril's update on Swarm of Swarms:
In collaboration with Hive.Pizza
Set up the MOON multiverse, allowing multiple games to be run on the same server.
Week in the Crypto World
Genius Act is the US Senate bill that regulates stablecoins, and it passed without issues, following to be reconciled with a similar bill introduced in the House of Representatives and then sent to be signed into law by POTUS.
The interesting fact is that some think that if stablecoins continue to rise as they did (and they will, even more), there won't be enough depth in the Treasuries market to allow a stablecoin issuer to sell its Treasury bills if there would be a run on it. Read more.
In the wake of a stablecoins law being closer to passing, many huge players position themselves to enter the market. We hear about JP Morgan, Amazon, Walmart, and even Meta, again, as being interested in the subject and having or not projects waiting for the law to be approved.
Coinbase wants the green light from the SEC to be able to trade tokenized stocks on their platform. It seems that not long ago the SEC said it was interested in such an idea. Does that mean yes? Not yet, but probably soon.

Ugh, I knew Crownrend was getting some updates, but I didn't read the details much. I guess it does sound like a different game after it. I guess I'll see how things go, and if anything we have now will translate over.
From what I read in the previous update, they will.
Are US political acts named by a five year old these days? Genius, Big Beautiful Bill? Signs of the times.
You've beaten me to it with the news again, but that's fine. I'll do my own spin.

Seems like it!
It's was pretty late in the afternoon here when I finished. Didn't expect yours not to be out by that time, to be honest, since you usually publish it first. I'll check out your version of the news later...
I've been taking it easy today. Just had a swim before I posted. I think you covered the main things.

Is crownrend dead? The old one I mean?
Ureka.social is a good front end I tried it
Depends what you mean by dead... The site is working, and there may still be some ways to play it that makes sense atm, but I probably don't do it right.
The new one will take into account what we have built into the old one, so... staying active in the old one matters.
Thanks for sharing. I only have taken a look at it and at the feeds (which seem clean), but haven't used it.
Yea well, like if there are still people playing, token is still alive or sink to death, updates and such
