Magandang Dilag (Beautiful Maiden) popularly known as Beautiful Revenge is a Philippine romance/thriller drama series about a lady named Gigi who was not beautiful in the face but kind in the heart. She lived with her poor mom but things turnaround when she inherited alot of wealth from her dead father, Joaquin. Not long after she inherited her father's wealth, a guy named Jared appeared into her life and she found herself getting into a romance with the guy but didn't know what was coming for her.

Unknown to her, Jared, his girlfriend Blaire, and his elder brother, Magnus, had a plan for her. He pretended to be in love with her because he knew she had a crush on him, he decided to take advantage of her with it. He's plan was to take the three hundred million pesos her father left for she and her mom. As a lady who hasn't fully matured yet, she believed she had found someone she could love and trust.

HOW I FELT ABOUT THIS SERIES.

I felt happy at first while starting the series, my mom and I picked interest in the series but as time went by, I started getting annoyed because of Gigi's naivety. She was so naive and easily manipulated. She trusted the wrong people and turned her back on the people she shouldn’t have. I wanted to give up but I remembered the name of the movie and decided to go further in watching the movie. When the time came where she came back for revenge as the bold, beautiful, powerful, mean and fearless Greta V: The most famous fashion designer, the series had my undivided attention.

She was so mean. Prepared to take her revenge on each and everyone of them. She multiplied the deeds done to she and her mother. She was more powerful and influential than them. Gigi made them trust her to take them down one after the other, and she got her justice and thank God her mom survived.

THE MOST MEMORABLE CHARACTERS FOR ME – THE VILLAINS.

BLAIRE

Gosh I hated her so much because she was the mastermind of everything. She was so bossy, full of herself and insecure. And she's always wearing white, like what is up with that? Did someone tell her she looked good in white or something? Eww!

JARED

Jared used Gigi's feelings for him to their advantage per Blaire's orders. Apart from being foolish, he was submissive too, especially to Blaire and Magnus.

MAGNUS

He was the head of Elite squad and a psychotic bastard.

RILEY

She was the definition of green snake in green grass. To the audience, she appeared to have minor flaws and wasn't all that bad. Who would have thought she was the meanest of the girls? Her silence brewed a deadly storm and we saw that with the way she used hot irons on the skins of her employees.

ALLISON

As for Allison, I felt that she was the puppet of the group. She had no voice of her own. Not really memorable at all for me.

I would like to note that the actors really brought the characters to life with their superb acting. They embodied their characters in both emotions, personality and style.

For a series with 99 episodes (25 minutes each episode), this movie was mind blowing. At first, the beginning will get you annoyed because of the way Gigi was so easily manipulated. But when she returned as Greta V, she gave them back to back and I loved the new Gigi. I loved this movie so much even though I'm not a fan of Philippine movies but this one caught my attention, the dialogue, characters and everything was well thought out. I will give it a 10/10.
