The movie "Alpha" is a Nollywood movie directed by Esse Akwawa featuring Stan Nze as pastor Fred, who embraced redemption, turning away from his old dark past and becoming a leader of a church. When he felt he was free from this past, the consequences caught up with him. Just when his family life and ministry were thriving, Grace, a deeply broken woman from his dark past, showed up seeking vengeance. Bent on revenge for an event from 15 years ago, she was completely unmoved by his newfound faith and swore to make his life a living hell, just as she had carried the burden for years.
This movie is a tense story of redemption, hidden sin, and the consequences we and people around us suffer for our past. We may find redemption and God's mercy may find us, but people we have hurt may never forget. There's a lot to learn in this, and some of the few things I learned are that "our dark past doesn't fade into thin air even after repentance; it always has a way of catching up with us in the future, and the burden we suffer from the consequences of our sins outweighs any other burden that comes our way."

I dare you to watch this movie and not be moved by your everyday decisions. I'll recommend this movie to anyone; it's one of the best Nollywood movies I've ever watched, and it's worth your time.
