[PL/ENG] Stamtąd / From [SE4, 2026]

Po dłuższej przerwie obejrzeliśmy czwarty sezon serialu "Stamtąd". W fabułę wchodzimy wartko: parę scen przypomnienia i już jesteśmy zanurzeni w tym paskudnym świecie, w którym w nocy potwory wychodzą spod ziemi, aby cię pożreć żywcem.

After a long break, we watched the fourth season of "From There." The plot kicks in quickly: a few flashbacks, and we're immersed in this grisly world where monsters emerge from the ground at night to devour you alive.

Tym razem jednak trzeba przyznać, że nie tylko potwory są tym złem. Jest też pan w żółtym garniturze, a może raczej... dziewczyna w okularach? Która budzi w widzach jeszcze większy niepokój, bo nieświadomi niczego mieszkańcy zaginionego miasteczka przygarniają tę postać pod swój dach - a ona ma wobec nich podobnie perfidne zamiary jak stwory spod ziemi.

This time, however, it must be admitted that the evil isn't just the monsters. There's also a man in a yellow suit, or rather... a girl with glasses? Who stirs even greater anxiety in the audience, as the unsuspecting inhabitants of the lost town take this character into their home—and she has intentions toward them just as perfidious as the creatures from beneath the earth.

Ktoś mógłby zarzucić, że za dużo się dzieje, że historia naciągana, że czego oni już nie wymyślą. I tak owszem tego typu zarzuty widziałam w sieci. Nie zgadzam się z nimi - moim zdaniem historia główna biegnie ku wyjaśnieniu, a jedyne zagmatwanie to wprowadzenie dodatkowego zagrożenia w postaci koszmarnych lalek czy wspomnianej już postaci w żółtym garniturze, które nie wpływają na główną linię fabuły, a stanowią interesujący - i przerażający - dodatek.

Someone might accuse the plot of too much going on, of the story being far-fetched, of what they can't come up with. And yes, I've seen such accusations online. I disagree – in my opinion, the main story progresses towards an explanation, and the only confusion comes from the introduction of additional threats in the form of nightmarish dolls or the aforementioned figure in the yellow suit, which don't affect the main plot but are an interesting – and terrifying – addition.

Im bliżej mieszkańcy miasteczka są odpowiedzi, tym straszniejsza staje się ich droga. Kim jest Człowiek w Żółtym i czego chce? Czy odkrycie Jade i Tabithy pozwoli wrócić do domu? Jak długo Boyd utrzyma wspólnotę, gdy jego ciało i umysł się rozpadają, i jaką rolę odegra nowy przybysz? Czwarty sezon otworzy drzwi, które lepiej było zostawić zamknięte.

Season Synopsis

The closer the townspeople get to answers, the more terrifying their journey becomes. Who is the Man in Yellow and what does he want? Will Jade and Tabitha's discovery allow them to return home? How long will Boyd hold together as his body and mind crumble, and what role will the new arrival play? Season four will open doors that were better left closed.
