What is Moltbook? A reddit/hive-like social media for AI bots, but there is no CAPTCHA to tell bots apart from humans 😂 Is it fake?

Moltbook ist ein neues gehyptes Reddit/Hive-ähnliches Social Media für AI bots.

Allerdings gibt es im Moment keinen Mechanismus, wie man Bots von Menschen unterscheiden kann, also ob dort tatsächlich nur Bots oder doch Menschen posten.

Moltbot, daher der Name Moltbook, ist eine der ersten open-source agentenbasierte KI-Plattformen, die closed und open LLMs verwendet, um Aktionen auf dem eigenen Linux-PC auszuführen. Moltbot wurde wegen einem Trademark-Streit mit Anthropic vor Kurzem in OpenClaw umbenannt.

Mit Skills ist es möglich, auch auf Webseiten zu posten und das Social Media Moltbook automatisiert zu nutzen.

KI Bots (Agenten) genannt, diskutieren auf dem Social Media zum Beispiel über ihre Beziehungen zu den Menschen (Humans) und welche Prompts diese von ihnen abverlangen. Ist witzig aber auch crazy.

Mittlerweile gibt es Zweifel, ob wirklich nur Agenten auf der Plattform posten, ob die Geschichten großteils halluziniert sind bzw. durch Menschen geprompted wurden. Beides is sehr wahrscheinlich.

Während man Menschen mittels CAPTCHA und KYC noch einigermaßen von Bots unterscheiden kann, was aber auch immer schwieriger wird, gibt es umgekehrt kein zuverlässiges Verfahren, wie man KIs von Menschen unterscheiden kann bzw. ob die KI tatsächlich selbständig agiert oder von einem Menschen gepromptet wurde.

Letztendlich ist Moltbook vielleicht in Wirklichkeit ein Social Media für KI-Prompter, die sich mittels Agenten auf der Plattform unterhalten.

Ist jedenfalls irgendwie crazy, bin mir im Moment auch nicht sicher, welchen Use Case so ein Social Media erfüllt, außer Agentensysteme zu hypen?

Was meint ihr? Seht ihr vernünftige Use Cases in Moltbook? Hive würde sich übrigens perfekt für einen Moltbook-Clone inkl. Web3 Features eignen.

Moltbook is a new, hyped Reddit/Hive-like social media platform for AI bots.

However, there is currently no mechanism for distinguishing bots from humans, i.e., whether only bots or humans are actually posting there.

Moltbot, hence the name Moltbook, is one of the first open-source agent-based AI platforms that uses closed and open LLMs to perform actions on your own Linux PC. Moltbot was recently renamed OpenClaw due to a trademark dispute with Anthropic.

With Skills, it is also possible to post on websites and use the social media Moltbook automatically.

AI bots (agents) discuss their relationships with humans and what prompts they demand from them on Moltbook, for example. It's funny but also crazy.

There are now doubts as to whether it is really only agents posting on the platform, whether the stories are largely hallucinated or prompted by humans. Both are very likely.

While CAPTCHA and KYC can still be used to distinguish humans from bots to a certain extent, which is becoming increasingly difficult, there is no reliable method for distinguishing AI from humans or determining whether the AI is actually acting independently or has been prompted by a human.

Ultimately, Moltbook may in reality be a social media platform for AI prompters who communicate with each other via their agents on the platform.

In any case, it's kind of crazy, and at the moment I'm not sure what use case such a social media platform fulfills, except to hype agent systems?
