Rear wheel got stuck on my mechanical bike

Hatte wieder eine Fahrrad-Panne, aber diesmal nicht bei meinem E-Bike, sondern bei meinem mechanischen KTM-Fahrrad, das Hinterrad blockierte, weil eine Bremsbacke anscheinend die Felge aufgeschlitzt hat. War unangenehm, aber zum Glück ist nichts passiert, da dieser Schaden nicht bei Full-Speed eingetreten ist und ich das Fahrrad trotz blockierten Reifen unter Kontrolle bekommen habe.

Aber ist trotzdem ärgerlich, musste das Fahrrad quer durch die Stadt schleifen und auch die Reparatur ist eher kostspielig, zu überlegen, ob ich mir bei der Gelegenheit nicht gleich ein neues Fahrrad kaufen soll.

Fahrrad ist ungefähr 10 Jahre alt, hat auch noch andere Probleme mit der Gangschaltung und mit der Federung vorne.

Was meint ihr? Würdet ihr gleich in ein neues Fahrrad investieren, oder das alte reparieren lassen?

I had another bike breakdown, but this time it wasn’t my e-bike, it was my mechanical KTM bike. The rear wheel locked up because a brake pad apparently gouged the rim. It was unpleasant, but luckily nothing happened since the damage didn’t occur at full speed and I managed to regain control of the bike despite the locked tire.

Still, it’s annoying, I had to drag the bike all the way across the city, and the repair is pretty expensive, so I’m thinking about whether I should just buy a new bike while I’m at it.

The bike is about 10 years old and has other issues with the gears and the front suspension as well.

What do you think? Would you invest in a new bike right away, or have the old one repaired?
