Was sagt ihr dazu?

Tech YouTuber Marques Brownlee, also known as MKBHD, revealed how much electricity he consumes in a year in an older video from 2023 in which he reviewed his Tesla solar roof. The figure blew me away at first.
54,380 kWh per year. (54 thousand kWh)
That's about 36 times what I consume per year (1,500 kWh), meaning MKBHD consumes as much electricity in one year as I do in over 30 years.
That sounds insane at first, but there are a few points that put the energy consumption into perspective.
Firstly, MKBHD has a large house and also uses the electricity to run the air conditioning and charge his electric car. This makes the figure not quite so dramatic.
Assuming you drive 10 thousand km per year in an electric car that consumes around 25 kWh per 100 km, that would be 2500 kWh of additional electricity consumption per year.
However, the air conditioning and heating would require even more electricity than the electric car. Here, electricity consumption depends heavily on the size of the living space, the temperature and efficiency of the air conditioning system, and whether the house is also cooled in summer. For a large house in the US, you can easily “burn” several tens of thousands of kWh per year.
What do you think? Were you also impressed by the kilowatt figure? How much electricity do you consume per year approximately?

I did the maths on my solar (After a year) about a week ago my TLDR:
Total Consumption: 8,832.7037 KwH
Average Daily Consumption: 24 KwH
Total Generation: 15,037 KwH
Average Daily Generation: 41 KwH
Total Energy Sent to the Grid: 6,639 KwH
Average Daily Exports: 18.13 KwH
In 12 months, I offset 23% of the start up costs of my system. So, in about 3.7something years, I'll be in profit, and still have 6 years of warranty left on my battery, and like 20 year of warranty on my panels. :)
There is no reason to pay for energy when we have an abundant resource. To call it renewable is a misnomer, because the sun won't technically last forever, but the best time to install solar (especially here in Australia) was yesterday. Energy bills are another form of control on consumers and industry.
4 year ROI time is really great. I think if one has a house and the opportunity to install a solar roof, one should go for it, considering growing energy prices for the grid and falling prices for solar panels and batteries, solar should be a no brainer.
I think it's excessive, even with a big house. He seems to like wearing short sleeves in the middle of winter at home.
I don't know how much I use, but I think he has too many devices. He is a tech reviewer so there are probably some things he can't get away with, but he definitely uses a ton of electricty.
My whole family uses around 4,000 kWh a year and we thought we were high. I think it makes sense though when you factor in the AC, electric car and a big house but still, wow
That's way exaggerate, if I used that much energy I would go bankrupt!

Wow that is incredible. 😲
Marques Brownlee is very impressive to be able to achieve that
