The Scottish Parliament in Edinburgh has raised an EU flag alongside the Ukraine, UK and Scottish flags, even though the UK is not an official member of the European Union. The UK left the EU at the end of 2020. Brexit.
Do you think this is meant as a criticism of Brexit? Scotland wanted to remain in the EU while England wanted to leave.

It's fair criticism by the the Scottish I'd say.
Raising the EU flag in Scotland can be seen as a gesture of resistance against Brexit and a way to show support European community.
Sollen sie halt mal erfolgreich sezessieren. Und überhaupt, warum hängt da die ukrainische flagge? Ukraine ist weder in EU noch NATO.
Bye the way: die EU hat die Sezession von Katalonien vor ein paar Jahren ja nicht unterstützt.

Sind das echt schon 5 Jahre her.
Denke mal das ist ein Ausdruck dafür das die Schotten keinen Austritt aus der EU wollten. Die Mehrheit der Schotten war ja dagegen.
Wahnsinn, dass das schon so lange her ist, das Referendum war sogar schon 2016.

I have no idea, but maybe they wanted to stay in the EU but didn't have a choice like you said.
This seems like a subtle critique of Brexit, reflecting Scotland's pro-EU stance.
