2 week ceasefire in the Middle East, after Trump threatened to destroy "a whole civilization". MAGA supporter Alex Jones and others demanding 25th amendment (JD Vance to take over).

Ziemlich verrückt, was gerade in den USA und im Nahen Osten vor sich geht. Am Anfang des Kriegs war das Narrativ noch den Iranern zu helfen und sie von einer der schrecklichsten theokratischen Diktaturen der Welt zu befreien.

Nach 5 Wochen Krieg verschwimmen die Grenzen zwischen Gut und Böse immer mehr, nachdem das Ausmaß der Zerstörung im Iran immer größer wurde und Trump mit der Vernichtung der gesamten zivilen Infrastruktur und der Tötung einer ganzen Zivilisation gedroht hatte.

Am Wochenende gab es dann noch eine riskante Boden-Operation, um einen verwundeten Piloten aus dem Iran zu retten, dabei wurden nach offiziellen Angaben der Pilot gerettet, aber eine ganze Reihe von US-Flugzeugen zerstört, was wiederum weitere Fragen aufwarf. Offiziell sind die Flugzeuge im Sand steckengeblieben.

Kurz nach Ablauf des Ultimatums hat dann Trump eine zwei wöchige Waffenruhe verkündet. Der Haken ist allerdings, dass die Kontrolle der Straße von Hormus bei den Iranern bleibt und diese jetzt eine 2-Millionen-Dollar-Maut für den Transit verrechnen. Eine Art Reparationszahlung aus ihrer Sicht.

Auch ist die Frage, wie das mit der Waffenruhe weitergeht, ob sich auch Israel und der Iran daran halten werden. Beides ist leider zu bezweifeln.

Mittlerweile wenden sich immer mehr MAGA-Anhänger von Trump wegen dem Krieg im Nahen Osten ab. Wichtige Podcaster wie Alex Jones fordern mittlerweile sogar offen den Rücktritt von Trump und eine Übergabe an JD Vance. 25th Amendment.

Meiner Meinung nach ist das Chaos im Nahen Osten immer noch nicht gelöst, aber der Waffenstillstand ist ein wichtiger Schritt Richtung Deeskalation.

Was denkt ihr? Kann Trump noch gesichtswahrend aus dem ganzen Schlamassel aussteigen oder wird der Krieg noch weiter eskalieren? Wird Trump wegen dem Iran-Krieg impeached?

It’s pretty crazy what’s going on right now in the U.S. and the Middle East. At the start of the war, the narrative was still about helping the Iranians and freeing them from one of the world’s most horrific theocratic regimes.

After five weeks of war, the lines between good and evil are becoming increasingly blurred, as the scale of destruction in Iran has grown ever greater and Trump has threatened to destroy the entire civilian infrastructure and wipe out an entire civilization.

Over the weekend, there was also a risky ground operation to rescue a wounded pilot from Iran, according to official reports, the pilot was rescued, but a whole series of U.S. aircraft were destroyed, which in turn raised further questions. Officially, the aircraft got stuck in the sand.

Shortly after the ultimatum expired, Trump announced a two-week ceasefire. The catch, however, is that control of the Strait of Hormuz remains with the Iranians, and they are now charging a $2 million toll for transit, a kind of reparations payment from their perspective.

There is also the question of how the ceasefire will proceed and whether Israel and Iran will adhere to it. Unfortunately, both are doubtful.

Meanwhile, more and more MAGA supporters are turning away from Trump because of the war in the Middle East. Prominent podcasters like Alex Jones are now even openly calling for Trump’s resignation and a handover to JD Vance, the 25th Amendment.

In my opinion, the chaos in the Middle East is still not resolved, but the ceasefire is an important step toward de-escalation.
