Die Woche komme ich aus dem Büro. Setze mich in mein Auto und beende meine Telco. Ich will mein Auto starten und ... klack klack klack.
Was jetzt los?
Auto startet nicht. Signalleuchten blinken. Radio und Lüftung gehen. Hmmm.
Kann das die Batterie sein, oder doch ein Kabel lose, durchgebissen?
Ein Betriebsratskollege war früher KFZ-Mechaniker und ist zum Glück noch im Haus.
Er schaut sich meinen Octavia an und sagt sofort Batterie.
Also ADAC anrufen. "Kein Problem wir schicken jemand. Kann aber 90 Minuten dauern". Was bleibt mir übrig.
Clack clack clack
I get out of the office this week. I get into my car and finish my telco. I want to start my car and ... clack clack clack.
What's going on now?
Car won't start. Signal lights are flashing. Radio and ventilation work. Hmmm.
Could it be the battery or a loose cable, bitten through?
A colleague on the works council used to be a car mechanic and is fortunately still in the building.
He looks at my Octavia and immediately says battery.
So I call ADAC. "No problem, we'll send someone. But it may take 90 minutes". What else can I do?

45 Minuten später kommt der Kollege vom ADAC, schließt sein Gerät an und misst alles durch und lässt mich den Wagen starten.
Dank der Starthilfe startet mein Wagen wieder.
"Hatten Sie das schon öfter" - "Nein".
"Das ist noch ihre erste Batterie, oder?" - "Ich denke schon".
"Dann wir es langsam Zeit für eine neue. Eigentlich hält eine Batterie ca. 6 Jahre, ihre hat 12 Jahre auf dem Buckel. Sie können mit der Batterie wieder normal fahren, aber über kurz oder lang wir es Ihnen wieder passieren."
"Danke dann werde ich sie wohl tauschen müssen."

45 minutes later, the ADAC colleague arrives, connects his device, measures everything and lets me start the car.
Thanks to the jump start, my car starts again.
"Have you had this before" - "No".
"This is still your first battery, isn't it?" - "I think so".
"Then it's about time for a new one. A battery actually lasts about 6 years, yours has 12 years on the clock. You can drive normally again with the battery, but sooner or later it will happen to you again."
"Thanks, then I'll probably have to replace it."
Ein neuer Schrittmacher für meinen Kleinen
Also vereinbare ich direkt einen Termin für den nächsten Morgen in meiner Werkstadt.
Ich komme gut nach Hause. Am nächsten morgen, hoffe ich, dass mein Auto anspringt und es klappt.
30 Minuten später hat mein Kleiner einen neuen Herzschrittmacher.
Mal schauen, ob der auch 12 Jahre hält.
A new pacemaker for my little one
So I make an appointment for the next morning in my workshop.
I get home safely. The next morning, I hope my car starts and it works.
30 minutes later, my little one has a new pacemaker.
Let's see if it lasts 12 years.

Hoffentlich ist es nur die Batterie,
letzten Herbst dachte ich auch das es nur die Batterie wäre, neue Batterie gekauft und 2 Wochen später hat sich herausgestellt das die Lichtmaschine im Eimer war.

ADAC hat gemessen und festgesteölt, dass die Batterie Strom aufnimmt.
War einfach nur zu schwach. Hatte mich ins Autogesetzt und die Zündung angemacht um die Scheiben runterzufahren. Lüftung und Radio hatte ich zwar ausgemacht, aber Licht war wohl an und die 15 Minuten waren zu viel für die alte Batterie.

12 Jahre! Die Autos und Zubehörs heute sind schon echt langlebig. Bei meinem ersten Auto war das noch ganz anders. Da hat früher def ganze Wagen nur 12 Jahre gehalten.!WITZ

Erinnern wir uns an die ersten Golf. Die waren praktisch unkaputtbar. Aber mit Skoda bin ich wirklich sehr zufrieden. Bestes Preisleistungsverhältnis aus meiner Sicht.
Würde zu Skoda noch Seat ergänzen. VW-Technik in schönerer Optik zu günstigerem Preis. Mein Leon fährt seit Jahren einwandfrei und auch der Ibiza (bis aufs bekannte Steuerkettenproblem) und Leon meiner Ex sind problemlose Autos.
Mein erster war damals ein Fiesta. Seitdem bin ich fort von Ford.
