Can a company safely detect that a candidate is not actually using AI? There is no point in banning something that cannot be controlled.
If a candidate is merely inspired by AI, I don't think its use is detectable. Or rather, it would be hard to prove.

Good point, in fact it is very hard to prove whether AI was used, also false positives possible, applicants not using AI could even have a disadvantage, so I guess it would be better to adapt the job applications process to include both AI and non-AI skills (like an in-person interview).
I'm a teacher. It's difficult to assign students any homework these days. Sometimes it can look like the teacher has the AI do the lesson preparation, including the homework. The student has the AI work out the homework. The teacher has the AI evaluate the homework. Everyone is happy. But there's something I don't like here.
