Simplicity Does The Trick - A Nice Dinner

Sometimes a simple meal can be so good!

There are a few restaurants near us where I literally only like 1 or 2 things from their menu. Meaning if we go eat there, we already know upfront what we'll order. The same goes for our daughter, she doesn't fancy anything on the menu besides chicken strips with potatoes and a fried egg. Luckily for her, these chicken strips have a very tasteful crunchy layer making them really good. They are never dry and we all love them, in fact, sometimes I regret they don't offer this on the regular menu and almost consider ordering a child's menu, lol.

We have not figured out why they are so tasty but they are. She often can't finish her plate because they serve a regular plate filled with food for kids which is too much for her.

Our food of choice

When we order, we always come back to the same plate: sharing a plate of pork tenderloin with fried potatoes and pepper cream sauce. I think they are way too expensive in their price to order a plate each as we also had a visit where the meat was very bad, so I'm not keen on ordering it double anymore, especially knowing my boyfriend will regret eating that much later anyway.

Unlike many other restaurants, they serve the meat exactly as we like it as well as having the best pepper cream sauce to top the meat. The potatoes are fried but not like many others where they serve them half-fried, soaked in oil, which is always causing some issues afterward, lol, here they are just right.

Sunset

We sat outside as it was still sunny, although close to sunset. By the time we received our food, we saw the sun hide behind the mountains and it became quite chilly very fast. We finished our food and paid the bill to walk back uphill to our home. Sometimes it's nice not to have to drive somewhere but just go to a place nearby. We probably won't visit this place too often, as it's more of a convenient spot for us when we're too tired to cook or drive somewhere but just want a plate of food we all like.
