Tried Bael Fruit juice today but ended up preparing a fertilizer for the plants

I have a good home garden, and sometimes I'm interested in picking fruits and eating them. Yesterday, when I was returning from the office, I saw a huge Bael fruit at the end of my street. It fell on the road and was fully ripened. I was very curious to bring it home and eat the fruit. I have no experience with eating this fruit before, but once some workers from North India who came to do some construction work used to have the fruit, and they said it is very good to keep the body cool.

Since then, I wanted to try it by myself, and yesterday I got the chance. I saw some YouTube videos and wanted to give it a try by myself. I extracted the pulp of the fruit and soaked it in water for about one hour. Then I smashed it and prepared the juice from it, and separated the seeds from the pulp. I have to be honest that it was all a lesson for me because this is the first time I'm preparing something like that.

Someone said that we have to remove the seeds completely before soaking them in water because the seeds are very bitter. But I didn't do that, and I soaked everything and left it for some time. Then, after that, when I mixed it, it came out like a good solution. I then thought of drinking it directly, but I couldn't drink it at all due to the bitter taste.

I added some sugar and a little salt and tried drinking it again, but I couldn't bear the bitterness. Then later I diluted the extract with more water and added some more sugar, and tried drinking it again, and it was a bit decent. I couldn't drink more than one glass. The remaining extract was still there, and I did not want to waste it. So I asked my aunt to prepare a sweet from that. She tried making Halwa from that, and it came out very well. The looks and consistency were very good. But the bitterness was still there. Whatever we did or how much ever sweet we added, it was still bitter.

I have heard about the medicinal benefits of Bael Fruit, and that's one of the reasons why I wanted to give it a try. It is very good in removing ulcers in the stomach and reducing body heat. Considering the health benefits, I thought it will be a great drink, but it looks like it was not an easy one.

Finally, I decided to use the remaining as a fertilizer for my home garden plants. I have a few more components that I have collected to make fertilizer. I have a collection of plant leaves and banana peels that I already use for fertilizer preparation. I'm going to use this extract too for the same purpose and use it in my plants. I think this is the final, better way to use a Bael Fruit.

Nothing beats consuming natural edibles into the body system and also putting it into use for environmental benefits.

Your resourcefulness in turning the bitter extract into fertilizer shows a wonderful way to give back to your garden.
