Three crazy goals

The new year is still fresh, like a flower bud opening up for sunlight. Many resolutions had been written down in the past and carefully we observed the outcomes, some were accomplished and many remained a wish till date. All those years only left me with one truth, that the power to accomplish a goal is not absolutely in our hands, thus the reason for these crazy goals. Crazy because, Instead of doing, I'm on the stage of learning

The crazy goals are but three :
One: Learn the art of saying NO

Looks simple right? It's not as simple as it seems. This singular art that is deficient has been the cause of my unaccomplished goals over the years. So many times I've made the wrong compromise because saying no is difficult. I just allow myself to say yes , then sit back and regret what I did but the bitterness doesn't change anything, I still make the same mistake over and over again. Where a simple no would have saved me, I give a yes with a smile that fades after the deed is done.

Two: Learn to save

Kudos to people who save as easily as ABC. I find myself breaking that saving box and convincing myself that I'll get the money back soon- Which I never do. I should have learned this art some years ago, but unfortunately, I'm doing it now. I read a book called "The Richest Man in Babylon" and the idea there says save as little as 10% of your earnings. I don't know if that's a good start or a slow start, but I'll consider learning savings anyways.

Three: Learn to increase in knowledge (read books)

There's one favourite verse of the bible that says, "a wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attend a wise counsel." Noticed I'll be stuck to the old things I knew, and I felt it's high time I give knowledge a chance, and this is through reading books. I'll dedicate part of my time this year to reading books of my interest. Growth is a vital part of a man's life and if one wants to be a leader, then he must have given his time to reading. One of my goals this year includes reading books, and I'll need to learn this art again because it's an old habit that was forgotten in the quest for financial freedom. The year is still young, but there's a lot of prospects of good outcomes with it.
