Educational System In Nigeria

The educational system in Nigeria has a lot of loopholes. While everyone is made to rely on education as a means of acquiring a sustainable living, little or no provision is made for the millions of students who graduate yearly. The number of unemployed people is higher than the employed, yet no subject is added in school's curriculum to help combat this continuous increasing rate of students in the labor market. Even the entrepreneurship introduced in schools only introduced the basic aspect of business.

With each revolution, the educational system is gradually losing its relevance. People no longer study for the knowledge, but to acquire the certification which has become the prerequisite for employment. The introduction of several levels of examination is only aimed at enriching themselves and not truly a test for competency. This system needs reform. A system with no irrelevant subjects added to students that doesn't relate to their professional course, a system where facilities are provided to help broaden students knowledge, a system where knowledge is better than grades, and a system that promotes knowledge aimed to help students face the society after graduation.

If there are any subjects that need to be added to students, it should be "LIFE101 and Financial Management". This would be a subject that prepares students against the harsh reality of life, staying wise amidst life's choices and how well to manage finance and create wealth. If the country aims to grow, it must have people who have learned to manage their finances, making wise decisions in investments with proper budgeting. Financial Management is one vital subject to be treated in schools. It would help graduates make proper financial decisions with the capital they realize, avoid bad debts , make good budgets, and create wealth for themselves while contributing to the country's GDP.

Uff this part was so good. And it makes education a business, which puts society in danger since the clients will prefer some university that makes it easy for them to get that degree, and that makes a lot of mediocre "professionals".

That's true
This idea about the irrelevance of knowledge had made school look like a scam
